Thompson and Morgan don't charge P&P, so its cheaper getting them from them.

T&M do charge P&P but its only £3.95 per order and not per item.

QVC should not be charging P&P on every item from T&M when they have absolutely nothing to do with the handling of the plants.

I was tempted to buy these as I love purple too but I bought a similar set from QVC a couple of years ago and they are not really purple, more a pink colour but I did not complain as they are still nice but I do feel a bit cheated.
I wonder if the fertiliser would make any difference and could it be something to do with the soil as well that affects the colour, like hydrangeas?

I was very tempted but the last time I planted tulip bulbs in a pot the squirrels dug them all out!

It must be a good year for squirrels, as we've had a baby boom round here. All very cute until they start making a nuisance of themselves.
[Yes, I know that officially they're vermin, but it's been fun watching them try to mount raids on next door's squirrel-proof bird table. ]

Anyway, what I'm [eventually] getting round to is that if you make up a strong, cold chilli tea using dried chilli powder, and dip the bulbs in just before planting, the squirrels quickly learn to leave them alone.
