Just got on the Sunday 8p.m B&W show & these 'hand' pieces are truly b***** awful! I have some B&W pieces from the past which I really like but they have gone to whatever level of awful, taudry taste with the stuff they are showing now ( IMO of course --for what it's worth!) Julia either likes them or she is an actor worthy of an Oscar.

Whar a load of complete & utter shite, who on earth buys this garbage? :taphead:

Be interesting to see the reviews for it & an excellent demonstration of why it is generally a good reason to read the reviews for other things people have bought, certainly if you are relying on just one person's glowing appraisal (or not!) for something - if you found out they had also bought this & thought it utterly wonderful, you'd probably want to take their reviews of anything else with a fairly large pinch of salt! :wonder:

& a ps---Simon keeps stressing that these 'pieces' ( could use other words but am too polite!!!!!) are hand set. So that makes me wonder how much the poor workers are getting for this task?If a pieces is retailing on Q for even over £40 the cost price will be peanuts.

Hideous thing!!! It really is a case of the emporers new clothes with his stuff!! And even though JR appears to be the biggest sycophant, I guess in real life she is far more selective!

From mobile, please excuse any silly errors!! :)

I switched it on briefly last night and off again when I saw Simon W was on. I can't bear the way he says everything is "soooooo grrrrreeaaat". JR was wearing the most hideous cheap looking sparkly skull necklace costing almost fifty quid!! It looked like something you'd see as a bingo prize on a seaside pier.

I've got the dancing couple brooch from years ago which always get lovely comments when I wear it (not for walking round Asda of course), but the whole range is tat now. People must buy it though otherwise it wouldn't be on.

I have a fair bit of B and W from ages ago, never ever buy it now or indeed watch the shows much as they are such a disappointment. When he starts going on about skulls being "edgy" or whatever I want to shout out that they are everywhere these days, skull shaped candles, scarves with skulls on them, skill embellished tops on the "dreaded" high street, in fact they are one of the most overused symbols these days.

The stuff that was on last night was hideous beyond belief, cheap and nasty looking and probably would be spurned by any 6 year old with taste.
