It's been making appearances for years now - I'm sure you all know the one? Elegant grey-blue, graduated colour, halter-neck pleated evening dress? I think everyone but the plus-sized models must have worn it at some point! Every time there is a silver day or a diamonique day or something of that ilk, out it comes again - usually worn by several different models during the day. Now, I'm all for frugality, especially during these financially troubled times, but this is bordering on Scrooge-like! QVC, like many of us at home, might well be tempted to get away with using the same frock year after year (I've done it myself) but it only really works if it is very plain - simple black for example. Or if you get it out only once in a while. Not if it is very distinctive or if you bring it out several times a month! That dress has become so ubiquitous that I'm half expecting Glen Campbell to offer it up to wear with Birkenstocks along with his crisp white shirts, maxi-dress and 'trouser'!

Perhaps Glen might appear on screen wearing it with one of his lovely cardigans draped over the shoulder to finish the look !

What about the short, black dress with the frilly gathers all over it. Think it's Ronnie Nicole. They've all had that one on! It's a bit like the black frilly one that Allison cannot seem to change out of, you know with the grey bolero. It looks so big on her too.

me neither :bandit:

me too :emo:
Aaaarrrrrgggghhhhh!!!! I'm being cyber stalked by a mad woman!!!

144591 There is still a video clip there. I really like it myself but it's a bit short for me.

Thanks for your reply but I think I confused you. I was talking about the grey-blue, pleated, halter neck that Nicky-j was referring to in her opening post.

Unfortunately I run a Mac and so cannot view video clips from QVC (although I can now watch online!). The blonde model was wearing it this morning while Catherine was on. But I'll bet (unless someone spills something on it!) it'll be on again later today! They ususally put in on the fairer skin models.

I use a Mac also and the good new is QVC have changed their player so you can view new clips now; not old ones though. It seems they are uploading recent clips to the updated player, it was always very annoying not being able to view the video.

No, not confused, I know the pleated one but thought I'd mention the other one too. Have noticed how even the thinnest to the largest presenters are wearing it. Must stretch with plenty of ...er...elastin maybe.....!

I used to be able to view video clips and QVC's live TV on a PC. Now I can still view them but can't get any sound on the live TV, although I do get sound on the video clips. May this have something to do with their updates? (Sorry if this is a bit off the original topic but seemed a good place to throw a question in!!)

I maybe shouldn't admit that I have the very same dress, but mine is purple and graduates to pink at the bottom. If QVC got there's at the same place I did then someone shops in TK Maxx.

No problem admitting it - it's a lovely dress. But I bet you don't let all your girlfriends wear it and to the same event later in the same day - which is effectively what QVC do!
