Love the outfits, but whoever thought that listening to a wailing banshee every time the price drops, probably has shares in earplugs! :grrr:

The dogs have gone doolally and although I had to turn the sound up if I thought something I wanted to hear was being said, I have now had to turn the sound off altogether.

There are plenty of other ghoulish sounds if you must make a noise that don't cause or aggravate a raging headache!

I'm staying to see what a ring I like the look of will go for then I'm off!

I'm afraid I've turned into a 'grumpy old woman' as far as Haloween is concerned. It's all gone so over the top - yet another piece of americana that has krept into our society and a huge excuse for over-commercialisation, I hate it. (Told you I was grumpy!)

I agree that the screaming quickly loses its appeal (I've only watched two games and it's annoying already - I think 3 screams each crash is definitely OTT) but apart from that, I'd rather watch a bit of hallowe'en fun today than the Christmas tree on TJC.

Tonight when I get home it's lights off, doorbell unplugged, TV nice and loud and I'm in for the night!!

Must admit the screaming on Gems TV hasn't bothered me, actually makes a change for them to use something else.

The siren they usually use for special price crash events drives me nuts as it sounds like an air raid siren to me. I always have to be careful if I have Gems on during these events as if my father heard that siren he would not be happy, he lived through the war so naturally he hates the air raid sound.

I personally had to turn over, was uncomfortable to watch (and no not cause I was scared!)

Totally disagree, may as well put my 2penneth, love the fancy dress everyone looked fantastic. Took me ages to work out who was who. I just can't watch The Jewellery Channel at the moment, hate the Christmas look. IMO Christmas should not be on ShoppingTelly till November 6th.

Totally agree with you Graham. I have really enjoyed watching Gems TV tonight. Great fun! Well done to all of the presenters and crew with the fancy dress! Loving it! :18:

I don't mind them dressing up one bit, in fact I love it and I too have taken a few seconds to work out who's who :gasp:. It's just that ruddy scream that goes right through me over and over and........:tantrum: So I've had to turn off and miss loads. Just tuned in again 'cos I forgot about it and :hyper:

Fancy dress is a great laugh and if anyone wants to do it fair enough, though I can't stand the fact that kids I do not know think it's OK to knock on my door and ask for stuff, luckily only one lot has done so this evening and I didn't answer. So it's bah humbug from me too. :blush:

I completely agree that Christmas decs shouldn't be on the channels 'til after Bonfire Night! :hump:
