Well apart from my Dh,S and CH all turning down my offer of a NYE's party  i may let myself loose on the local chinese while my eldest teen has his mates here :mysmilie_466:

Sadly my nose will be to the grindstone while I finish off the case portfolio for a specialist legal qualification. I've got a deadline to finish it by Thursday. 20,000 words done and another 3,000 - 4,000 words to go. I was even at it on Boxing Day grrrr. I'm fighting the clock now so will definitely be working on it tomorrow night.

Good luck with that Flamenco and have a tipple while you are doing it!! Its the sofa for me, the flu has knocked me for six.

I am working till about 6pm then
We are having a party for a few neighbours
I used to hate Hogmanay but now we have neighbours who
like to party its much better than sitting in waiting for the clock to
strike Midnight :clock:
Hope everyone has a great time whatever they are up to :glass:

Hi DebraJane, they're BrandNewPlumWaffle, LastClicks; gone now, just checked. SloshyBarbs, I wore BrandNew red WinnieThePooh/Tigger ones that night; not that you'd remember, dahling  Thanks RubyRat  Flamenco, BestOfLuck - You Go, Girl (((hugs))) - how dull was my life 'til I found this forum!?!

debrajane - nothing odd about the freezer. barbs has werthers vodka everywhere since she discovered it. she's probably hoping she can keep it all to herself by hiding it everywhere but i'll do my best to sniff it out. i'll bring some veggie snacks and the choklit fountain but the xmas party was a bit of a damp squib - capirossi was wrapped in blankies and snarly was snoring by 10 pm.

I don't normally go out on NYE but this year it looks like I could well be in bed, been in bed all day today as have come down with a virus, it is not full blown flu but symptoms are very flu like!

Veggie snacks yum and I'll bring marshmallows and fruit kebabs for the chochie fountain. Snarly has new PJs and Capirossi is feeling a bit better now even though she's not drinking. Are you up for drooling over Andrew at midnight?

Such a shame so many people have had their festive season spoiled by illness. My husband`s family have been struck down with either sickness bugs or flu type bugs, his kids, their partners and his grandkids have all been affected. Loads of friends have also been laid low with similar bugs too. I`m keeping everything crosssed that me and hubby escape but I doubt it. So far so good and fingers crossed !

Sorry to hear that Sazza, hope you feel better soon - we'll toast absent friends if you're not around x

um.......can't say as i find andrew droolworthy......

AY seems to think so and I don't disagree with her - do we think she'll be back as we haven't seen her all Christmas?

I walked past him at the Beauty Bash last year and he has the loveliest smile :)

definitely. it's a horrible buggy time of year anyway (another reason i hate it) but this year has been far worse than usual. the norovirus peaked early - if it has indeed peaked - twice as many cases as last year when it peaked in january and there is a lot of flu around as well. nasty.
