What the hell has she done with her hair? She looks absurd. Personally I find Ruth arrogant, dismissive, entitled, and full-of-it. From what I can see she has zero talent. She hit her mid thirties her telly career was going nowhere and she latched-on to Eamon Holmes. I mean, how low must your self-esteem be?!

Ruth gives vibes of the rude South African Saleslady on the old bbc comedy show 'The Fast Show'.

Very up herself these days after being on SCD. Got big headed. 👍£112 for trainers. Even Sketchers do not charge that. Her clothes are all similar style

Boring clothes imo. She's still banging on about her 'three minute denim jacket' that sold out in three minutes. No matter what she says, her sales will never equal the Denim & Co denim jacket.

No you're not and I've been with QVC from almost day one and I've spent monumental amounts of money - to be fair, liked what I bought most of the time. I do feel the range of products and the quality have gone down, the prices and postage costs have gone up (which I suppose is to be expected). QVC just don't have the things they used to have (e.g Mr Christmas had much lovelier things and Thomas Pacconi. Lots of other good brands, Aveda, Decleor etc). I know some brands have gone bust or sold out but there was still a lot to get excited about. Now everything is a "considered purchase", even the microfibre cloths!

Aveda is back now.

They all use the same old phrases for their promos - including "don't let your fabulous clothes wear you blah blah blah" Heard it all before. Talking of Ruth, I saw a bit of her denim show before I sallied forth to the pub and those denim type joggers made everyone look huge, including Jackie, who most definitely isn't huge. Come on Ruth, you need to design a range that makes us over 60's look fab and not as if we're wearing either our mother's or daughter's clothes.

Nail on the Head ! I’ll be 70 in Sept & desperate for a new wardrobe that is ‘trendy’ but doesn’t make me look like mutton dressed as lamb. I’d be happy to pay QVC prices if they could deliver for me.

Do you like Phase 8? They have pretty clothes that are grown up but not frumpy.

The denim joggers were ill fitting things, all bunchy where you don't need bunch but of course 'comfy' and selling well to frumps who feel they are trendy by wearing denim. The denim trousers RL was wearing with the brown belt looked too masculine imo.

"frumps who feel they are trendy by wearing denim" 🤣🤣 so true !

I look at those in my age group and generation and think "you were dancing around your handbags in the 60s and screaming at the Kinks - so why are you looking and dressing like your own grandmother now just because you're in your 70s ?" Change your layered short grey hair, get modern specs, . If you wear jeans buy a navy blazer to wear with them. If you are hippy, a long cover-up top makes you larger - it needs to "sit" on the hips and you'll see the difference. Sleeves should be wrist length not longer. And the number I see wearing black block heeled shoe/boots below jeans is countless - and defines a certain age group - I wouldn't give them house room in the winter. I've never owned a black or brown quilted coat, but I do wear a QVC padded jacket in mint with matching fur trimmed hood I bought years ago.

It's all smoke and mirrors in the end, but it's easy to fall into invisibility .

For some unknown reason a video from Woman& Home has materialised on my facebook timeline. Ruth with Behind the Style with Ruth Langsford. If you think the tat she sells on QVC is dire, it’s nothing compared to these “designs”. Not sure if they’re her designs or what she’s chosen/paid to wear. Sorry don’t know how to attach the clips but you can type in Woman and Home Ruth Langsford shoot in google videos and you can watch it.

I wonder why more US designers have not been brought back now that Covid is well behind us. There used to be so much choice of lovely clothes. Sadly no longer.

Her designs ? Ha! Ha! When would she have the time ? Designing is a full time job - not some scribbles in an A4 book on the dining table in between tv commitments and visits to the divorce lawyers office.

One can only guess at the age group of the designers who comes up with such rubbish. Who do they have mentally in mind when drawing yet another top in a ghastly print or the age group who wants to wear plastic (sorry, faux leather trousers) ? Clearly it's those who wouldn't leave home without their RL logoed leather handbag that cost an insane £140 !

Certainly I'm not their target audience, I've more sense.

Oh dear. I am one of the grey, bespectacled frump brigade. Thankfully nobody will identify me because I spend much of my life cowering in the background hoping the fashion police never catch up with me.

I don't agree!!! I have a few friends that are 20 odd years older than me, similar age difference between Ruth and Rylan.
I have friends 20-odd years older and nearly 30 years younger than me. They all have different personalities and we don't usually socialise together but that's the joy of age gaps.

I quite like Rylan. He said he'd turned to Ruth when he went through his break up. Maybe she's done the same as they have a shared experience.

Just flicking through the TV and good old Ruthie "with a twist" is on. Trainers at £112 plus postage and packing! Honestly, I could never ever pay that for a pair of trainers, especially from RL. I think QVC is totally overpriced these days, am buying less and less from them. Am I the only one??
No, I don't think you are on your own. I too do not buy so much now, the postage is ridiculous and the majority of the fashion is very fuddy duddy and way over priced. I agree R.L. Is arrogant and tends to look down on people, I also think her fashion is dismal, you can buy better from street markets. The fact she doesn't even\ know how to design but insists on fleecing many with these boring clothes at designer prices I find shocking. Still she turns up every week with her false smile ready to continue the facade of how nice and caring she is! Yeah right!

I doubt she has a say in the price point - it's basically a QVC range of clothing with her as the "face" for which gets a hefty contract fee. The same way that Twiggy was the face of M&S and Holly Willoughby putting her name to Dunelm bedding. It's all a marketing con that this lot gets well paid for.

A thriving industry based on hero-worship of so-called Celebs. Shopping with my husband one day he declared "Oh look, Holly Willy has designed some towels!" Says it all. Lunacy.

RL's a tough'un alright. I especially don't like it when she commiserates with the sad women who phone in describing their ailments. She doesn't care two hoots, but she puts on a really concerned expression. False.

Well the Brenda Edwards collection has bombed - everything in clearance and a diamonique ring 351428 is down to an embarrassingly SIX POUNDS £6 lots of sizes available.
The £6 ring probably cost QVC 25 Pence to manufacture, so they still make a profit. I liked some of Brenda's clothes and I loved it when she'd suddenly break into song. Good luck to her.
