Is it possible to get out of that look? I just run with it now. Actually, I don't think I can get to even "mumsy" any more.

Diversity is to be celebrated so my normal boring, predictable, cost-cutting look definitely has a place in our society because I am extreme in my dullness.

That sequin top could go really well paired with a “Racist Dog” 🤨 out for a walk in the Welsh countryside glistening in the bright sunshine 😬

Yes, Chelmsford market ! One stall has some real Bobby-dazzlers for the “party season” 😱😂
But by the time I've got myself to Chelmsford from the Borders I'll have paid 3 times as much in travel  We don't have a market here or even a Primark, we have to go to Edinburgh and it's a faff. Gala High Street is full of pound shops and charity shops and the New Look disappeared a while back. That's why I tend to just shop online.

It's comfy, isn't it? Being dull, I mean. Clean and neat is the 'look' I go for these days.

I live at the back of beyond, as well, so I'm happy to shop online. I could make the effort with a train ride into the city or nearest market town, but I'm accosted by so many beggars, that I can't deal with it. I don't look like a local, I suppose, so they assume. 'tourist' and descend on me.

You're right about the beggars. They are wall to wall in Edinburgh, you can't move for people wanting free cash from you. Most of them aren't homeless either. Two guys used to live in the flat above me and every day you'd see them outside Sainsburys Central "hungry and homeless" with their big dog. I only give money to Shelter and the Salvation Army.

It was on the national news yesterday about the Princes Street in Edinburgh and shops being targeted by thieves - terrible when people / shops are trying to make a living and putting up with crime.
