I gave up years ago watching morning 'magazine' programmes on ITV - the endless ads for competitions, the same formulae of a bit of theatrical cooking, agony aunt section with the faux sympathy from the hosts, inane phone ins from inarticulate callers, and the general bon homie at that time in the morning while eating my cornflakes didn't appeal to my normal grumpy self at that time of the day. I stick to the news channels.
I watched 2 editions of Loose Women when it first started, and watching over excitable women vying to get their word in - and getting paid for it, was more than I could stand. The same goes for Lorraine Kelly - how that woman grabbed her own show is still one of life's mysteries. An accent that's barely understandable, a grin like chukky doll and a cheesy way of interviewing is another turn off for me.
