Invented as an alternative to tin foil, this is less than 16" square, and costs an amazingly hefty £35.00, with £4.95 postage. Essentially, one would be paying £40 to cover their food whilst in the oven. What may make one consider a purchase, however, is the fact that it reduces spitting and splashing of fats, etc. How? It is mesh so, surely, any fat which needs to escape, will go through the holes? Compared with tin foil, whhich inhibits the fats, preventing them from coating your oven's interior.
I cannot understand why anyone would spend £40 ona pice of netting, when tin foil would do the job.

Chicken chain mail!

How have I managed with out this all my life?

Yes I thought of chain mail! And was quite surprised at the cost. However, I did like the lady presenting it who was just calm and clear with no dreadful hyperbole or hard sell.

wasn't this woman on dragons den?

I think it actually looks like a good idea. I'd probably buy one if I was into doing roasts and whatnot as it appears to stop shrinkage of the meat and can be used for a few other dishes too.

I'm not a cook though so unless I was planning on spending money on decent meat joints, it wouldn't be something i'd be interested in right now.

Good reviews on the net, though. I go through quite a lot of foil so it adds up. If this wasn't quite so expensive I might have been tempted. No shrinkage, a cleaner oven and something re-useable that would probably outlast me is very tempting.

The price is going to put most people off, needs to be something like £19.99 free p & p

Somebody commented that it's hard to wash if you don't have a dishwasher so that would be another consideration. I suppose if you would used it often it might be worthwhile if the cooked meat really is better than that cooked without the roasteasy. I bought a roll of foil the other week and was surprised how expensive it was so this could be a reasonable buy.

Yeah - I've always bought the el cheapo stuff that was 30p a roll in most supermarkets for ages. Then all of a sudden it doubled and more in price.

I bought a tray to soak racks/grills etc., from Lakeland years ago and find that a small scoop of Poundland "Oxi" gets rid of most cooking grease. If anyone decides to try this, though, it's pretty strong stuff so I wouldn't use it willy-nilly on everything. I'd imagine it would be good on this, though.
