Just Recieved the letter saying that I will recieve the correct colours direct from Red Carpet.
I am surprised as my order is still in process, and i had the call to say I would recieve my kit by March 1st.
I thought as there was a delay,I would recieve the correct kit.
Oh well won't be long and I can give it a go,

Recieved the wrong set this morning,so the above letter is relevant to me.
Will have a go with what I have, but not keen on bright colours so looking forward to my French,
which shouldn't be far behind.

I'm still waiting for my replacements, which is very frustrating. However, I have had a go at doing the French (which is what I was sent) with the RCM white in the kit I received but using a non-gel standard polish OPI pink (the pink in the RCM French set was too "solid" for me, if that makes any sense). So I did the prep and base with RCM and cured it, and wiped away the tackiness. Then I did 2 coats of a fairly translucent OPI pink and let it dry for 2 hours. Then I did the tips in the RCM white and RCM top coat. That was on Monday, and so far it's holding up well. I love the look of a French manicure but it normally does not last well on me, so this will be an interesting experiment.

Received the bold set not french today, got a call from CS yesterday to confirm the p&P has been refunded and correct colours will be sent week comm 1/3.

I've had no mention of refunded postage, did you have to shout and scream at them miss Molly?

Just mentioned in my e-mail that they promised delivery within 3-5 working days, it is day six today so they agreed to refund.
Have you got yours yet?

My order has been saying 'Receipt at Hub' since 10:10 yesterday morning - last time this happened my whole order went missing, wouldn't it be bloody typical if after all the hassle it happened again?

I did the same Dips with my white tip polish. They've lasted well considering I also used nail glitter just on the tips resulting in a more textured surface. They haven't lasted anything like 2 weeks tho' 6 days, (I think or thereabouts) & small chips have appeared. Cant really grumble th'o as glitter wouldn't last 2 days normally & I didn't get the correct colours to use RCM's own white gel polish.

Oh no Craftology! I so hope after all this palava you actually get it!

Got my order today so off to play!
I recieved the bold although i ordered the French, which i know is being addressed but why the delay? If they send the wrong one anyway why hold it up?
My nails are really short, they peel and split all the time and im hoping a RCM will help
I was wondering at what point your 30 day money back guarantee comes into effect! When we ordered? When we receive the wrong order or when we eventually recieve the right colour?

Very good point Sausage. I'm taking it that the MBG expires 30 days after the correct polishes arrive. That is when our order is complete. I'm sure if I think it's not for me Q will see it my way, either that or they won't be able to get rid of me, they know it makes sense lol x.

That's a valid point, 30 days should run from the date the "real colours" are delivered! Mind you, you could still try a clear base and top coat in the meantime.

Jude, I was like a kiddie at Christmas, there was noooo way I wasn't going to have a go :giggle:
If worst comes to the worst I will just have to roll out the big guns, (my best Margot Ledbetter rant), on the phone to Q. Hopefully I won't be sending it back tho' as I really want it to work & be fine x

Did you seal the free edge Nikki? You need to make sure you put a coat along the free edge to seal it. On pale colours I tend to just do it with the top coat but on dark colours I find I have to run at least one coat along the free edge otherwise it stays white and looks odd. I have had my manicure on for nearly 2 weeks now - Haute Couture bought directly from RCM website, and it is still almost perfect - just a small amount of regrowth at the cuticle.

Colour of the week is 'My Inspiration' a lovely dark grey - I feel a purchase coming on.

Thanks Rosey, our RCM guru :sun:. I think I did but praps not thoroughly if I'm totally honest, then again praps I didn't at all lol:thinking:
When I do it next time I will make sure the free edge gets a couple of thin coats, thanks again, very much appreciated x.

When I look on redcarpetmanicure.co.uk I can see the individual colours but how do you know which is the offer colour that week, am I being dim?

If you add them to Facebook the colour of the week offer goes on there .

Not feeling very happy about mine at the moment.
As I've mentioned before, I have the wrong one but been told no chance of other colours because I ordered one of each. I wanted the French & DiL wanted the brights. French came first though it had details for DiL's brights, I know cos this had been despatched before I ordered mine just before they went to advanced. So DiL set off for home, in Wales, with the French.
I rang CS but they wouldn't have it that they'd sent the wrong one, even though every one was reporting they'd got Brights instead of French. They also said the later orders would be correct,so I thought great, I'll get another French, my correct order!
No, it was brights when it turned up.

I've used it. The red first, was lovely, really pleased & my nails haven't broken all week!
Just done them again with the purple & it's awful!
Two coats of colour & it's as streaky & patchy as anything. Did it right as the red I did was good. Don't know how many coats they must have used on screen to get it looking as good as it did. 3? 4? Certainly not two!
I've no chance of being sent the French I should have got. CS say I've got what I ordered, one of each, true if you look at it from their point of view. DiL won't swap as she likes hers now.
So looks like mine might be going back as I don't do pink & hate this purple.

Aww Breeze, what a bunmmer! Up to you but I think you may get somewhere if you persist. You can always cut & paste your comment here onto their website as a complaint & then just rearrange bits to make it suitable. I usually find that if I have something written already, work with it & then amend as necessary, much quicker than starting from the begining plus you have evidence of what you've explained to them in writing.

Possibly bullet point it too so that can't say they don't get your point of view.

You should get another set of colours as they did cock up & we all had to work around them initially, hence the utter messy confusion!

Good luck, I hope it gets sorted properly for you x.

I can see their point that you got what you ordered but the reality is you ordered two kits for two different people. Your DiL is happy with the wrong kit and you're not happy with the wrong kit.

Phone them up and explain and my top tip is to ask them to help you. Use that exact phrase. It's a bugger for people to say no to. Yadda yadda DiL happy with her kit even though its the wrong one yadda yadda I'm stuck with the one I didn't want yadda yadda. Please can you help me? And wait. Keep using "can you help me". It's got me a long way in the past. A lot easier than losing your rag and usually gets you what you want.

Give it a go. You've nothing to lose and everything to gain.
