Was enjoying reading this thread until Akimbo's last post which features a massive picture of toenails with the most horrific fungal infection! God knows what the ad is for but they look beyond hope to me!! :mysmilie_460:

Boots have the full Sensationail kit as Offer Of The Week at the moment, reduced to £50.

BUT..........

I have been having regular IBX treatments with a manicurist and my nails are TRANSFORMED!!!

Worth seeking it out, my nails were weak and peeling (on loads of different meds) and broke and chipped and pinged off and bent.......too many problems to list.

IBX treatments have been a revelation....my one remaining weak nail should grow out over the next couple of weeks, still has the original peeling right at the very end of the nail but hopefully not for much longer!!

Thanks for this, can I ask if the IBX treatments are expensive? As I would like to try them, nothing works on my nails, nail envy,RCM etc, I have tried most of the stuff going to no avail, I have weak nails that either peel or break before they grow any length. I think Selfridges in birmingham have got an in store salon that has recently started IBX so I may give them a try,

Oh Starlight! How disturbing! Can I just add that they're not my nails, but how rude to just pop up uninvited and put you off your dinner! :mysmilie_10:

My nail lady charges £4 or £5 for the IBX treatment as part of a manicure.

I started off with a weekly treatment for 4 weeks running, now I have IBX every 3 weeks when I have a gel manicure.

I am 55 and have never had good nails. I am on loads of meds and have got a raft load of health issues.

Nail Envy helped a bit. Nail Eat and Drink helped a bit. Every recommendation I have ever read on Shopingtelly has been tried, everything QVC have sold in the last 10 years has been tried........I could go on and on!

:mysmilie_15:

But only IBX has given me nails I am proud of and nails where I have had to say to my lovely manicure lady........."my nails are too long, please make them shorter"!!

Thanks for your post Sally Mc, that sounds good and much cheaper than I thought it would be, I am sure I read a review after seeing your post yesterday that referred to a £10 per nail charge, and I thought that's me out, as I could not afford to spend £100 on my nails every now and then. I am going to see if i can find a reasonable salon near me to give it a go, :mysmilie_59: thanks again

That must be such an annoyance! Have you considered, if it's only for a few hours or a specific event, using stick on nails? They do some very good ones nowadays. I'm not sure of the brand, but a friend of mine came round for a meal with fabulous glossy, beautifully manicure red nails and they were just stick-ons from Boots. Might be worth a try?

hi nicky j just finished applying the boots kit and i am very pleased at how glossy and pretty they look. i would be so happy if they lasted the two weeks but i am just happy to have these pretty pink shiny nails. thanks for the tip this is a good price plus i have a boots card that i can use to buy nail bits and pieces
