I think it's more that Gollum's nose is out of joint working with chef Jack IMO
I think Gollum feels Jack steals his limelight and he has to get in as many irrelevant references to his lady/goddess/little boy as he can
It was hilarious the other evening when Jack told Gollum 'you're my guest'.........priceless...........don't think that did a lot for Mike's ego which astronomers say can be seen from other planets!!
