Me again. I'm going to go completely off-topic, and random, but I'm sure you won't mind too much. Christmas (hope it was a good one by the way), I got given an M&S 'light up' bottle of flavoured Gin. That light actually serves a purpose: to me. You light the bottle up and it shows how much is in the bottle, AND helps you pour it out too. Like pouring under a diddy lamp. And in this day and age when sunlight is all but a non-entity in the UK of late, that helps ;)

Very disappointed Alex went along with the non direct price comparison on the vacuum cleaner trying to imply there £44.99 piece of **** was equal to a far far superior £117.00 vacuum
I didn’t think I did Gooner - I was too busy trying to make sure I vacuumed the floor and didn’t say ‘Hoover’ by mistake! That’s the first time I have demo’d a vacuum on tv and wanted to make sure I was coherent enough with it. I thought we pointed out that for £44.99 it was a good price for a lightweight and basic vacuum that did have good suction power on it But it didn’t come with all bells and whistles of a more expensive model and pointed that out.
I’ll also mention if I’m asked to step outside of bedding that I’m here to show how a product works and am not an ‘expert’ in that particular field. 😊

Mike is comparing a £60 bag with a £20,000 bag🤣🤣.

He said if IW sold them at £400 they would fly out.
My question is why don’t you sell them for £400 then? ‘Inspired by’ being used to excess once again.
Personally? I think they’re vile but I’m a bloke so what do I know
Here is my inspired by bag, I won’t need the one of the ones from the shyster selling it 🤣🤣

He comes out with that nonsense quite often. :ROFLMAO:

That sounds like a great present! I wish Father Christmas had left one under the tree for me😊. Maybe next year I'll be lucky (if I drop enough hints to relatives...)

Hello Alex thanks for the reply the vacuum you were demoing was far inferior to the comparison 1 hence why it was £117 I think a lot of people on this forum have got a lot of time for you it's the price comparisons that really get peoples backs up 1 reason is because there is no traceability to check if there real last point what do you think of Yiannis telling viewers not to read this forum ( He was being serious ) Thanks again Alex

Fair enough, Capitano. You were doing the demonstration part of the presentation. You were there to show the product. But look back at the tape- a 40 quid vacuum was indirectly price compared with one three times the price. No way shown to check where the £120 vacuum was on sale, and no like for like detailing of the two vacuums’ specifications. Anyone with reasonable thought processes cannot think that appallingly disingenuous and prolonged tactic is remotely giving viewers an informed choice to buy.

Basic? You do know that "hoover", powered by the National Grid, is Peter V's "hoover" of the millennium, best suction ever, second to none. ;)

@Gooner1963 @Duke of Cheese
I will ask about this on the price comparisons. I can’t guarentee you will agree with the answer but I will ask if the comparisons that are put on the screen can have a link to where they come from. I have used comparisons in the past on some of the bedding and like for like comparisons that have been quite a lot more and I have found these prices online. All I can tell you is the comparisons are not made up. That much I 100% know and stand by. No one is putting photos on and making up prices. Let me ask this week once everyone is back.
I have a very delicate line to walk here because I see myself as a member of this forum who works in the industry for IW and I’m not a company ‘spokesperson’ so I’m sure you can all respect that I can only comment on what is questioned of myself and also give some insight into an industry that I love being apart of to fellow viewers who watch and are part of this community. I can’t speak for anyone else and it would be unfair and unprofessional of me to do so. But I do believe that some of the questions raised here are valid questions by viewers of the channel and if no one asks and there is no dialogue - then nothing changes and opinions remain the same. So let me ask. :)

Saw Of-the-Masons earlier and clearly he's irked by comments about his fibbing.

He was flogging a pack of three torches that came with duracell batteries - not the fables Phillips - for £14.99.
To be fair, it didn't seem over-priced and offered reasonable value.
He was saying "I don't care what you say, this is a good deal. I've been in this industry for 25 years and this is a good price."

The point is - even he seemed surprised that a reasonable price for a reasonable product was being offered.
I don't even mind them selling some tat - the worst thing is offering people in pain these "snake oil" solutions like Emu Balm and detox foot patches.

I know sometimes we help each other and I feel it’s my turn.

I haven’t been on as much as I’ve had real Mental Health issues, happens now and again, but this time, it happened Just before Christmas and finding it hard to shake it off, Almost had to pretend I was happy over Christmas, As parents don’t understand Mental Health.

I have finally got a appointment at my doctors next week, Following contacting 111, and they have drawn up a Action Plan

One of my main issues is sleep, I haven’t slept since about the 20th just staring at a black ceiling. 111, looked at my notes, and have noted my surgery is suggesting Sleeping Pills. Sorry for the long post.

I spoke to them about sleep tips, was advised no devices or TV for 2 hours before bed, which I admit I do, So I’ve begun to turn off my phone at least, I’ve tried watching IW until tired but doesn’t help.

If any of you guys, have any tips, let me know either on here or Message.

Sorry about the post but felt I had to open up

I think the advice on no devices is sensible. I know from my own situation how than can stop me sleeping. But that’s another story… I am particularly good at ignoring my own advice. When I stick to it - go to bed before midnight, no iPads in bed to be used then, then lie in a darkened room with some music/talk from the radio quietly playing, I do actually sleep. Never great sleep, admittedly, sleep nonetheless.

So sorry you’re having problems. I have times when I struggle to sleep.
I find using a pillow spray helps. I use This Works Deep Sleep but Avon, Boots and a few other companies do them too.

probably sounds daft, but rubbing a small amount of sleep balm on the soles of my feet and wrist pulse points also works for me.
