Thanks my appt is next Tuesday, so I hope to get sleep to Impress them.
Will try to post more

Only place I know where I can get a weighted blanket from is IW imagine the ribbing I’d get lolJazzy, sorry to hear that you’re not sleeping. I bought a weighted blanket about two years ago and it really helps. The second night I used it I slept eight and a half hours through the night. It makes you feel very nice and relaxed which leads to sleeping.
One tip they gave sounded pure IW.
They asked what time do you go to your room, and what time to bed. So I said Mum and Dad watch the 10pm news. Then we head up, and I watch YouTube or TV until about 1.
They said how about going to bed earlier about 11pm, But If I’m not sleeping what is the point going earlier.
Maybe not the right time, to make a joke out of something but o oh well
Thanks Alex. I definitely understand your predicament. We all do! I guess all of us have had a working life and you have to ‘fit in’ , as it were. But what you can do is question the ‘ethics’ of the Company? Surely they want more sales and you can have an input.@Gooner1963 @Duke of Cheese
I will ask about this on the price comparisons. I can’t guarentee you will agree with the answer but I will ask if the comparisons that are put on the screen can have a link to where they come from. I have used comparisons in the past on some of the bedding and like for like comparisons that have been quite a lot more and I have found these prices online. All I can tell you is the comparisons are not made up. That much I 100% know and stand by. No one is putting photos on and making up prices. Let me ask this week once everyone is back.
I have a very delicate line to walk here because I see myself as a member of this forum who works in the industry for IW and I’m not a company ‘spokesperson’ so I’m sure you can all respect that I can only comment on what is questioned of myself and also give some insight into an industry that I love being apart of to fellow viewers who watch and are part of this community. I can’t speak for anyone else and it would be unfair and unprofessional of me to do so. But I do believe that some of the questions raised here are valid questions by viewers of the channel and if no one asks and there is no dialogue - then nothing changes and opinions remain the same. So let me ask.
Jazzy I’m happy to offer any advice on this and don’t worry I’m not going to try and sell you ANYTHING!Thanks my appt is next Tuesday, so I hope to get sleep to Impress them.

I think QVC sell them and do places like M&S, John Lewis etc. I can’t use them as I suffer from heavy legs. I have the lightest weight 10.5tog duvet I could find as anything to heavy hurts my legs.Only place I know where I can get a weighted blanket from is IW imagine the ribbing I’d get lol

Lack of sleep is awful and I have done so much research on it because I need to really with everything I am asked to talk about on here.
A weighted blanket is the best shout. Wherever you buy it from please make sure it’s decent size one (not a single bed size) and make sure it’s 6.9 kilo ideally. You can get 4.5 kilo ones but it’s worth investing in a heavier one. I use them for the kids who as you know have autism and it helps calm them down and I use it myself if I need to get to sleep quicker.
The other thing I do when I have struggled to fall asleep is listen to Jason Stephenson on You tube as he has a great sleep meditation talk and it’s over 3 hours long. Either pop in headphones or listen to it next to you and just follow his instructions. It’s a bit ‘mystical’ and tells you to imagine your floating in water etc but if you listen to it I find I get distracted and drift off without realising. It’s got some chilled music that goes along with it as well.
I will put the link to one of the talks below but there are loads on you tube and for free.
If your bed is comfortable then it’s your mind that you need to switch off and calm. Try a cuppa before you go to bed, no screens when you get into bed, a weighted blanket from wherever you can get one at the best price - but make sure it’s a decent weight, and listening to the link below.
I don't apologise if you were offended by some mild humour. I will remember not to engage with you in the future however.Maybe not the right time, to make a joke out of something but o oh well
@Scraping the barrel @Duke of Cheese @Gooner1963 and everyone. I have been to ask about the price comparisons to the management team here this morning and I have let them know the issues you have mentioned above. Thanks Alex. I definitely understand your predicament. We all do! I guess all of us have had a working life and you have to ‘fit in’ , as it were. But what you can do is question the ‘ethics’ of the Company? What I am driving at Alex is ‘what exactly is the point of a ‘non-direct comparison’? It’s either comparable or it isn’t.’
Alex if I am trying to sell my (imaginary) Fiat 500 to you for £2000 and tell you that a non direct comparison is a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow for £200,000 would you be tempted to buy it,or would you smell a rat?
We are happy to see comparisons but be truthful and you never know but we may all stop laughing and throwing insults. Remember many people read these forums, including Muriel,Trevor,Agnes and Cyril from The Wirral to name a few
Just worried as I can't unsee that imageI don't apologise if you were offended by some mild humour. I will remember not to engage with you in the future however.
When you close your eyes tonight, will be the real test.....Just worried as I can't unsee that image
@Scraping the barrel @Duke of Cheese @Gooner1963 and everyone. I have been to ask about the price comparisons to the management team here this morning and I have let them know the issues you have mentioned above.
With regards to direct comparisons made to a product and price elsewhere, I have asked if we can show where we get that price comparison from. So for example if I am selling a brand of duvet and the same branded duvet is on John Lewis site for more - we should be able to mention the name or give the link.
They are looking into this and agree it would be more transparent to mention the company but they are not allowed to mention certain companies on air as it could have legal issues. Like in America where there adverts can say ‘we are cheaper on the same product than John Lewis’ it’s not as simple with U.K. broadcasting rules. I know if I mention a brand of shop or product when on air I have to make sure I say 3 of them. I can’t just say one. So if I say for example I go shopping in Dunelm for bedding, I have to mention 2 more stores of a similar kind. So I will always say, ‘Dunelm, B&M and the Range for example.
Anyway - they are going to look into putting the source of the direct comparisons for future reference so there is a comparison. I will follow up on this as well, obviously it’s first day back for everyone.
Non - Direct comparison. They are showing a product that does a similar function, or has a similar look etc but isn’t the same price as what the channel is selling and mentioned It is clearly stated that the comparison being made is non-direct. Your point above about the Fiat and the Rolls Royce I have made to them and mentioned that this way of making comparisons is a cause of frustration for the customers watching. They have taken it on board and will come back to me on it.
I will follow it up and update you. I don’t want to be a spokesman as that’s not why I joined this forum, but I have a chance to put these questions across and see what they say.
