Alex…Genuine question…Do you think it moral or fair to quote £100 plus elsewhere for a piece of kit your channel is unsourced price comparing that is actually £14 cheaper than their £49.99 price on Amazon? The people being targeted deserve better, and not to be disrespected because presumably a view is taken that they aren’t able to price compare like some of us on here can. It’s a disgrace. It’s actively conning the vulnerable.

Regarding Alex: My opinion,for what it’s worth.

I have always thought that he is a bit of a smooth operator and I never took to him on IW2. Bit smarmy and made me a little uncomfortable watching him.
I think we need to reserve judgement a little as I think some people have fallen for his nicey nicey approach on this forum.

It’s not hard to appear to be a better and more ethical person than all the other presenters is it?

It may be that he comes on here as a ‘spokesman’ on behalf of IW to smooth the way for IW to continue their antics and get us ‘onside’.

Call me cynical. He is just ‘one of them’. All mates and trying to protect each other and their underhand selling tactics…

Whenever an organisation performs unethically they often produce a spokesperson to soften the blow and make their excuses.

Sorry to have maybe upset anyone on here about Alex. Just my opinion and let’s reserve judgement but I realise he is in an awkward position if he is being genuine/sincere.

My opinion of this awful set up and tactics remains unchanged whatever Alex may say.

So Sally and the team at IW were just selling Cult51 £59.99, made a big, big, BIG point of their price comparisons, £110 on the Cult51 UK site but a massive $4656 (which must be the one of the specialists in the States declares Mears), even provided a graphic of this amazing price comparison..

Now with the clearer image you can see their price comparison the price is in TAIWANESE DOLLARS, which is equivalent to approx £110.

I'm telling, they are devious ******* shysters.

Hammy, I've just submitted an ASA complaint. I know it will be a waste of time but I feel better for it. I included evidence of YouTube video, screen grabs, and a Taiwanese currency conversion. I'm actually late having my lunch because I wanted to get it done!

As I posted the other day it seems to be getting worse and descending to an all time low, imo (although its a tough call) the worst of the bunch being Mason and that rag bag Dip sh-it Pedro. Huge gobshites the pair of em and as bad as each other for the constant lies aimed at mugging off the less savvy amongst us.

I expect IW will claim the Taiwanese dollars was a genuine mistake. But when you have an online form with countries and an arrow to click it starts at A with Afghanistan (I think). You have to physically scroll down to the United Kingdom (or Taiwan if you want to con the public). I pointed this out to the ASA. At least IW will have advance warning of what will eventully come their way. And I added the screengrab from the TV which showed it slightly blurred so it was not obvious it was Taiwanese currency.

Let’s not be naive here,in reality these presenters obviously chat behind the scenes over a coffee or two and may interact socially for all we know…and obviously Alex would be telling the others that he sometimes participates on here and so Peter and Mike et al are all aware of this forum and our dislike for their tactics,even if they do not read our comments(unlike Alex).. and so this leads me on to conversations they may have such as Mike to Alex “ Alex me old mucker just feed them bull the same as we feed our viewers.Play the nice guy and they may leave us alone”.
Obviously for legal reasons these are not known or genuine conversations but just my own thoughts and opinions..

Of course I may be totally wrong and the presenters never chat with each other off air and may not even know each others names or selling tactics…BUT. I reckon they will have targets to reach and bugger the old/vulnerable/naive lambs to the slaughter..

So Alex just tell them that there is no issue with sales people,just do it honestly and ethically and,yes,with good humour. Make us laugh..with you and not at you!

It hasn't taken long for Alex to be touched by the lying sh1tty bullsh1te stick.
Of course whatever brand of pillow/tat they are currently flogging is always the best, until the next.
Always makes me laugh when he rests his head uncomfortably on the old yellow flat folded thing used for comparison.

You can also tell from some of shaded references on-air they are well aware of the Forum and its comments. I think while they continue to seriously mislead the public with these disingenuous, unsourced price comparisons, then somebody needs to keep calling them out on it. Even if it just annoys them rather than anything else. Action really does need to be taken against this channel by the body that oversees it and other shopping channels. You should not be allowed to use unsourced price comparisons – period. Why this continues, I have no idea. Maybe the ASA could answer that?

I don't think that IW is worried about the ASA.
If they were, we wouldn't be seeing these seedy, dishonest tactics being used time and time again.
