That’s the point, he came out with absolute twaddle😃 Completely clueless. You’re right, Zeppelins we’re WW1 and the Lancaster was a piston engined bomber from WW2. Great fun to listen to, his take on history linking it his crappy watches.😵‍💫😀😁
I remember during the Queen’s silver jubilee fleet review in the Solent, there was a fly past. It must have gone on for around an hour. Fortunately I live in the flight path.
Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters, Hercules, Gazelles, Chinooks etc, most flying quite low, plus the Red Arrows.

Still get the occasional Chinook flying over, whole house seems to rattle if flying directly overhead. There’s also a couple of spitfires that do trips out of our local airfield, again another distinctive sound.

No the two comments came at different times, Zeppelin comment was while he was telling us about the history of Swan & Edgar and the store surviving the WW2. The Lancaster comment was while he was selling a watch, Swan & Edgar like to link an irrelevant, unconnected story to a watch, on that occasion it was the Lancaster.

Yeah Zeppelins were WW1, but baby fields was adamant they took part in the bombing of London during the blitz, which Swan & Edgar Survived.

Lancaster was a heavy bomber powered by 4 Merlin engines, but according to baby it was a jet fighter bomber.
A Lancaster bomber and a watch, which is German 😎

I think to state the vernacular, Lancasters were “big buggers”. Used during the dam busters with “bouncing bombs”. My late father could remember these being tested out in the Solent.

Have they said what material the coat they have is made of? Unless you know the material then it's hard to compare. Ted Baker coat, obviously pay more for branding, is wool/cashmere, what is the IW coat?
Also things like the cut of the coat, the quality of the stitching and lining are important. Generally superior the more you pay.

My uncle was a mechanic for the Dambusters squadron at RAF Scampton. I have a fabulous very long photograph of all of them sat with a Lancaster.

Herself is flogging this coat that she is saying is £399 elsewhere? No brand displayed. Constant referrals to a Ted Baker coat, but none of the usual inspired by. They SHOULD NOT be allowed by the ASA to suggest a saving from £399 on a branded piece of merchandise by buying their unbranded version, It is absolutely outrageous. Like a car dealer saying you are saving thousands on a showroom model by buying a different make rusty old banger on the forecourt. How do they get away with this shyte?
I do hope you are joking!
I feel like I’ve been done! Sounds like I may have been a little gullible i suppose when I was doing a deal with a very plausible car salesman ( similar friendly and honest everyday person like IW presenters)
Sold me this car below and said I was saving over £50,000 on a 2nd hand BMW up the road!!! That saving has already been spent at IW with the lovely lady selling collagen and the lovely men selling air fryers, karaoke machines and drones!

Oh well live and learn
