I’ve never seen that specific model, Duke.
It’s a good looking clock though - harking back to the 60s and the Space Age, I think.
Is it battery or mechanical? I only ask because the face says it’s a Big Ben Repeater, so it could have either inside.
If it’s mechanical, which is my best guess, most repairers can either fix it or if the parts are too hard to source, then to supply and install a new Hermle (or similar) mechanism. If battery, then probably a new module rather than a repair - but still do-able.
Just needs a specialist in clock repair - they’ll give you a quote. Don’t pay more than £100 though - get another quote…
Thank you very much, Professor, for the extensive reply. It is a mechanical movement. It was working on its side only (not a lot of good unless you lie on your side to tell the time). But now…it works of a fashion standing upright as it should - albeit, losing about ten minutes every six hours or so of wind-up time. Stunning looking piece - working or not working.

Would love to know how many of these more expensive machines they actually sell. Mind you if they had Mike M flogging them we'd get ...

FLYING OUT!
WEBSITE GOING CRAAAAAAZY!!
INTERNET IN MELTDAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!
Let’s put it this way, a couple of years back dad bought a sewing machine from Create and Craft, 2 Customers were going to win,a Fabric Giveaway, Guess what my dad won, so maybe that shows how many they sell

I should also point out, I bought a jumper in Primark earlier this year and it had a price tag of £10 and it was actually supposed to be £15 and they gave me the jumper for the cheaper price. And promptly sent someone over to remove all the £10 price tags 😄
I think that’s the mark of a good company, though. To honour their mistake.
But I do have a feeling it’s down to the company, rather than the law.

Might just need a good clean and a service. Oftentimes, just cleaning and re-oiling is all that’s needed. Having said that, a new mainspring should only add £25 to the cost.
A service should be between £70 and £150, but do shop around - plenty will do it for £70 if the like the clock and its look. If you’re anywhere near London, there’s a good repairer in Billericay - horologica.

Hubby has just been looking at the Duchump website. Yes, the Grand Mont is £1750, but if you type in the code ISIC85, they take 85% off the price, bringing it down to less than £300!
Yeah, it's just a complete con. I found a thread on Reddit about them and one guy said he got a discount on them with his gym membership. lol

Also another guy summed the company up pretty well.
