''UNDER TWENTY QUID? that looks like cost price, is that right?''

''I would get it now before they take it back off the screen''

*walks upto camera and whispers*

''Look if we have put it on screen we have to honour it so I would dial now before they take it off''

They had a random 6p p&p when Emma was on. They really need to stop the silliness

HE'S BEHIND YOU!!!

It occurs to me and I could be wrong, but being reminded of the random P&P charges, I don't think this is something that is looked into. As a business I think they do have certain postage costs. I do think they pay a flat rate and then when they need to fiddle around the numbers to make the price better they add onto the P&P and when they are desperate to shift something they make it 99p or free etc etc. My point is they act like the P&P is out of their control and I don't think that's true. I would be interested to know the rules and any insider knowledge if this.

lol, you will think I'm making this up, trust me I'm not.

I flicked on to IW last night and just as I did, it was Peter S saying 'you can trust me on this, right!' at which point I laughed and immediately hopped off the channel again.

:)
Torchy said yesterday "I would never lie to you'! You just did.

Peter says he is friends with Tomasz Schafernaker (that weather forecaster who was caught sticking his middle finger up at the camera once) Does Peter fancy himself a bit of a weatherman? Peter's forecast for tomorrow claims it will reach 35c in some places.
Tomasz is also famous for thinking (genuinely) that sheep and lambs were different animals. Truly.
🤔

If you have a regular large amount of orders to be delivered you can negotiate with the courier companies to get a good price. This used to be part of my job and you’d be amazed what savings you could make by guaranteeing a certain amount of parcels per month/annum.

So if for example QVC sell 50k Elemis TSVs at £3.99 they’d receive £199,500 for their customers. I suspect they’d pay around 35% to 50% of that and the rest would be profit to QVC.

although I think IW sell nowhere near that volume for just one item, well maybe in their dreams, p&p would be a known. Costs would vary depending on weight/volumetric ratio.

Natalia must be on commission for all the people she is sending for Botox. First Peter with his peaked eyebrows (Spock), and now Sally, obviously has had her forehead and frown lines done, and possibly a Botox brow lift. Doing it is not a shameful act. It's ridiculous for them to sell all the beauty devices, lotions, potions, and collagen and suggest that using or taking all of these are the reasons.

…Unless it's genuinely wrong, of course. In which case it gets pulled from the screen ASAP, everyone acts uncomfortable for a minute not mentioning the inaccurate price, then in comes the new (higher) price comes in, and we're told "…what a bargain".

With reference to the above - am I right in recalling there was once a time in UK retailing where if an item had been wrongly priced far too low and was on display, you could demand the goods for that price, and the retailer HAD to sell them to you? Long now repealed if so. The seller is no longer required to do this any longer in similar circumstances.

Are Spock eyebrows and shiny foreheads contagious, or is Natalia on commission for referrals to her local aesthetician patio door?

I'm not sure why a certain someone looked at Pedro's patio door face and thought "I want to look like that!". She needed Specsavers not Botox!

It's such an obviously "done" look. Thing is, most celebs who've had had some treatments done, you can't tell! Obviously there are those who get addicted or go overboard, or have it done much later in life which makes it more more obvious. But good practitioners create sympathetic results, not synthetic ones. That often means 'less is more'.

Those at the lower end typically I guess care less about the result, and more about upselling and overfilling.

'Spock eyebrows' are a sign the person who injected the Botox isn't that great at their job, and doesn't understand the biological mechanics of an individual's face.

Which isn't a surprise: most "aestheticians" aren't doctors, or even nurses, or medically trained. Anyone can do it. Maybe even Muriel! Go along to a one-day foundation course and, bam: you can start injecting people with toxins and fillers 🙃
