QVC Garden TSV 15/03/25
This is now on 16th MarchQVC Garden TSV 15/03/25
Thing is even when new they still look plastic and fake. But then I love real plants and love growing them from seed, or getting plugs and growing them on. Not everyone likes to do stuff like that. I have just got my begonia corms out and planting them up in the kitchen this afternoon, while hubby watches Huddersfield Town get beat again. There will be a lot of cursingThey’re probably ok if they’re going somewhere quite sheltered but not out in all weathers.
I was just going to say that. It looks like the kids have been doing a bit of decoupage, cutting out flowers from the garden centre catalogue, and they’ve been stuck on fake ivy. Mostly they’re completely flat, not even shaped, and some of them in the presentation looked like they had white edges because the QVC presenters’ grandchildren weren’t very good at cutting round the petals. Zoom in on the photo below - they look two-dimentional. Pretty shocking. Usually, you see Peony Flowers, etc on QVC and you can think they look quite realistic on the screen, but you find it’s a different story when get them home. So how much worse would these look when you got them? How much worse could they look? The flowers on the blue one look like they are made out of paper. You can get two pre-planted real baskets for around £40 although I suppose they don't last forever.

I’m sure QVC could sell you a faux bee, battery operated, with fairy lights.I like bees, butterflies and birds. Faux hanging baskets do not encourage wildlife or help pollinators.
