Just been on QVC's facebook page and the calender is on sale. Cost is £11 with (wait for it) £1.50 going to Breast Cancer Care. A lot of people on facebook aren't convinced. http://www.facebook.com/#!/QVCUK

You pay more in P&P (£2.95) than is given to charity! :taphead:

And who would want a MONTH of Craig, HRH La Roberts, soft-focus Worzel Gummidge (AY looking like she's in the middle of a steam room), and GC looking like he's excaped from a 70s sitcom on their walls?!? :puke:

I agree with the FB commenter who said that QVC's more "special" callers will be foaming at the mouth (literally) to get their grubby little mitts on this.

Somebody posted on Facebook they could use the JR page as a dartboard. Love it.

I think the charity element was an after-thought as it wasn't on the original announcement about the calendar.

You could make a donation of £5 to the charity rather than spend £13.95 on this and both you and the charity would be better off. Simples!

Yes, and depending how QVC actually pay the money to Breast Cancer Care it could be classed as a Company donation on which they will be able to claim corporation tax relief! Wonder if they will pay that element over too?

Stand by for a shedload of these in clearance in January. I can't get over this little venture. OK, one or two might be sold as a bit of a joke for someone's stocking, but otherwise any buyers are likely to be rather sad or rather pervy and I wouldn't have wanted to be in it if I were a presenter. This whole idea seems very misguided. Are we to have shows dedicated to it as well?

Would be tempted to get a couple as a joke but not at this price ( +p&p!)
It would be useful for the fashion tips from the Great Glen tho'?
Loved some of the comments on the facebook page!

My comment was that I would be sticking to my firemen calender :whew::smirk:

Julia looks very demure :smirk: I think some gentlemen might laminate her shot for use in making videos for certain 'specialist' websites :giggle: I'm not saying anything about Dawn Bibby! :wait:

don't imagine them shifting many of those! does anyone remember in the early days they brought out a xmas cd of the presenters ''singing''? have to admit to buying it for the novelty value but think it was about £2

I may be way off the mark here, but £11 seems very expensive for a calendar. And if they afford to charge that amount then I'm sure they could afford to donate a far larger amount from the sales to Breast Cancer Care.

I think I'll stick to making my annual donation to Cancer Reasearch, in preference to having that hanging on my wall.

Find out what presenters get up to outside work. Why? Isn't that what the blog is for that some presenters (AD) don't bother updating (as mentioned by a forumite, honest) I am really not interested. It looks like their name was drawn out of a hat to organise face order, it could have been done by length of service, then JR would have been first, but maybe she likes being in the middle  it's where the eye falls first. Oh, you do get hints and tips though, yippee, thank you QVC :mysmilie_500::mysmilie_500::mysmilie_500:

I also love the post further down the FB page that calls QVC UK into question of their dealings with PETA-friendly Mr Basso [/sarcasm]: no response from QVC as yet.

Is interesting that people are questioning QVC's decisions more and more, as well as the business ethos of their ranges (Liz Earle and Dennis Basso spring to mind).

Where will it all end?

Chuntley has just made me mad. Introducing this calender as a hotpick she stated "All proceeds goes to Breast Cancer Care" Er no it doesnt.
