Price drop discriminate against disabled Ofcom aware

Tonight, Price drop presenter has made a concerted attack on disabled people by mimicing them getting out of a car. It is not a choice to be awkward through disability. How insensitive. I am trying to get this presenter removed.

what on earth are you on about the presenter was not taking the micky he was showing how to us the item omg some people if the presenter had not done a demostration would you then have moaned because you did not find out how to use it, for goodness sake get a life and stop moaning, there was no discrimation at all.

To be fair, I was quite shocked at how he demonstrated it. He said ''Some people have difficulties of getting in and out of a car'', and then he pretended to be in a car, and he said ''this is what some people do when getting out of the car'' And at that point he fell onto the floor on his hands and knees.

and people do fall out of the car i have seen it for myself and done it myself for goodness sake he done nothing wrong gee whiz able bodied people fall over and out of cars too you going to moan about that as well flipping heck let it go there is too much of people thinking that they are hard done by just cos they have something wrong with them they think everything is directed at them if that is all you have in your life to sit and complain about a presented on a shopping channel then you have a very sad life

I'm sorry, but I have NEVER seen anybody fall out of a car like he done. When he demonstrated it too, before he used it, he lumped down on the chair, and banged his leg on the table...and then when he did use it, he just sat on it like a normal person (even though he didn't use the product to help him get in!)

Tell me how the product would help? All it is, is a circle which swivels underneath you. If you fall onto the floor on your hands and nearly hit your head when you get out, how would the product help you? If you can take an impact of hitting a concrete floor like that, you can turn your body to get out of a car!

Was he demonstrating the swivel pad thing for cars seats and chairs? I don't think there is anything wrong about demonstrating how mobility impaired people can find it difficult to move out of these seats. As with all the shopping channels, the presenters tend to exaggerate verbally or physically the usefulness of the products they sell. I am sure Steve didn't mean to make light or fun of people with disabilities.

get a life and just laugh it off for goodness sake able people get things like that happen all the time just cos your disabled (and yea i am too ) you think you have more rights and always the one that gets the dirt dished well let me tell you something YOU DONT. oh dear i am diabled you cant do anything against me attitude stinks. Everyone suffer from some form of discrimination wrong colour hair colour of skin what part of the world they come from i.e. Ireland wales and others, I would say that Steve meant nothing from what he done and i for one just laughed maybe you should try that too you might find you have a happier life if you laugh once in a while instead of the woe is me attitude.

I too am a wheelchair user and as such I find there's not much worse in life than trying to deal with a disabled bully. We particularly need solidarity at this time of disability hate crime, government pressure to remove our benefits and get us into non existent jobs.

I don't watch Price-drop, I was drawn in by the title of the thread, so I can't comment on the presenter but I am deeply shocked by your rude and bullying attitude towards a fellow disabled forumite (a first time poster to boot).

I'm not thinking for one minute that he was making fun of people, but I can understand why people may think so. When I saw it, I was a bit shocked of what he done, but I didn't think any more of it until it was on here.

That's the thing about being offended. There is virtually nothing that is universally offensive. To me it is not a case of is it offensive, the fact is someone did take offence so an apology is needed.

Give you an example. If I say a rude joke it stands to reason that I don't find it offensive or I wouldn't be saying that joke in the first place but if someone else found it offensive I would of course not ridicule them, and I would say sorry.

Facts can be right or wrong, where as people's opinion can never be called wrong because it is just that, people's opinion.

and did you not read mine? The "disabled bully" I referred to was you! By the way, you should be aware that just because someone is a wheelchair user doesn't necessarily mean that THEY ARE DEAF or mentally impaired. Methinks you doth protest too much. I have serious doubts about your authenticity labelling all disabled people as thinking they are hard done by. I know many, most of whom would put you to shame. Neither does someone making a complaint necessarily evidence they they think themselves hard done by. If you truly are disabled and not just bearing a pimple on your nose, you should know better and perhaps it's time you went and educated yourself about the current laws.

I know I shouldn't make a joke about this but your post did make me laugh out loud. Your last sentence makes it sound like you have fallen down a well

As for the topic, I have a blue badge and have disabilities but I have so many more good things in my life and never say why me, I say why not me. Please speak for yourself and don't assume what other people with disabilities think.
