i know quite a few who this would be a very practical gift for & they would be over the moon with something like these
Super, come on now. How many whiskies have you had?? :D:D:D🥃🥃🥃 Just who do you know who would like opening a set of sticky hooks on Christmas day? I know you're a half full guy and so am I when it comes to Glenlivet but you maybe over estimated the "quite a few". I say this all in jest as there maybe one of Strato's friends . . .

LOOOOL none cause i dont touch any kinda achol (SP) but quite a few around me have said they rather i buy them something pratical like hooks or tools ect rather than chocolate ect & im perfectly happy to oblige in that as id rather buy something they want than dont want

Magic Hooks? Well I suppose they are really because they do make your money disappear, now if they can do that same trick on the most annoying presenters, they’d be worth every penny 🤔

As for giving them as presents, that would be a no from me, when I give a present I like it to be something I know they’ll treasure and enjoy and somehow I don’t think somewhere to hang your bath towel every morning quite does that..........but we’re all different so each to their own.

Don't panic Shopps if you change your mind Ideal World is selling the same sort of thing tonight at 19:30 if you want to watch boy-band Shaun demonstrating them. (y)

I think we're seeing it all wrong: buy them for your decs then send them back on twelfth night! Result!

Afterall, they've already scored that marketing own goal by identifying them as "presents". ☃

Don’t think I need to watch someone show me how to put a sticky hook on the wall, I assume it comes with instructions 👍 😜

If I did change my mind, I won’t but if I did, and wanted to buy them for someone (not as a present though) I would indeed buy them from Ideal World at least then I’d be guaranteed a clean new item, not a dirty used one, it’s one item number one postage so cheaper delivery but best of all I can return them for free 👍👍

As for QVC, I’d put money on the fact that every single item returned to QVC between now and the 31st of January will have been a “present” wether it was in the title or not, and why wouldn’t you if you could get your money back 👍👍👍

These hooks though are only a real solution for the kitchen or bathroom, and as Akimbo said for stringing Christmas lights across the window...and lets face it, the heaviest thing you'd likely hang in the bathroom with a hook would be a dressing gown. Bath scrunchies, a shower gel, tea towels that sort of thing. They told us they only work on shiny surfaces, so not as useful as they like to make out. They harp on about the weight they can carry..3kg. What weighing anything near that weight would you possibly want to try and hang up from a mirror, a door, or your kitchen or bathroom tiles? Their usp is the fact you can take them off the walls and they don't leave a mark, and that you can use them again.

QVC Price £25.00
Todays Special Value Price £16.98

This 20-piece Reusable Magic Hooks pack from SFIXX contains twelve large reusable hooks and eight small reusable hooks, all designed to adhere to almost any flat, non-porous surface and to leave it residue-free whenever you remove them. Use this versatile collection to hang anything up around your home, from Christmas decorations to winter coats.

No need to drill - with an adhesive backing that sticks to tile, metal, wood, glass and a variety of other smooth and non-greasy surfaces, these hooks are perfect for hanging up pictures, mirrors, lights, keys, shower gels and more, without needing to drill or risk damaging walls.

Use again and again - if you want to switch up your decor or take these handy reusable hooks with you when moving home, they can be easily removed and used again. Even if they become dirty, simply wash them clean with water, leave them to dry and use them for something else!

Decorating made easy - as Christmas beckons and you start thinking up decor ideas, let your imagination run wild with the knowledge that you can hang up wreaths, lights, garlands and other festive decorations quickly and easily, using these clever Magic Hooks.

Subtle storage - brilliantly space-saving and ideal for storing everyday items that never seem to have a place, these hooks are also great for keeping your home tidy and organised. Try them on the back of a kitchen cupboard for hiding away cloths, in the shower to hang your pouf from, or on the back of a wardrobe door for tote bags and ties.

What's in the box?

  • 12 x large reusable Magic Hooks (7.8cm) - designed to hold up to 6kg in weight
  • 8 x small reusable Magic Hooks (6cm)- designed to hold up to 4kg in weight

All measurements are approximate

After all my scoffing I've actually got them around the top of the wall in the livingroom and we hang the Christmas garlands with the lights on them. I only just noticed them now as I was watching a spider :D They are quite useful.

For anyone who’s interested they’ve got them on eBay, 24 for £4.89.........no pressure. 😃
I got a bit drawn in on the presentation last night and almost bought the TSV - for me, not as a present. So I did a little research (as we all do on here for obvious reasons) and of course Amazon have several packs of very similar, not with the SFIXX brand name but clearly all made in the same place - much cheaper than the TSV and, importantly to me, some have very good reviews (like everything, there are always 1 star reviews and 5 star reviews but the average was higher). I see this morning there are three reviews for the TSV and they’re not good!

I’m sure that this type of hook has been on QVC before (Langdon’s maybe?) and with other similar ones on eBay and Amazon it’s obviously not a new and original idea. Sadly, a lot of QVC customers think that QVC is the only place that sells things. They need to wake up and realise that there is life outside the shopping channel.

I had the presentation on in the background and was amazed that they were able to waffle on for 20 minutes about how to stick a hook on a surface. It was even more boring than the 20 minute demonstrations we have to endure of how to wash/moisturise your hands or apply glunk to your skin. 🤪
