Frankly, i'm surprised that any of the respondents to this thread have the patience and good manners to reply as politely as they have.

Are you saying someone who posts their opinion, should be thankfully that fanatics are polite in response when they don't agree?

I don't know about you but many moons ago, I was brought up with manners, they cost nothing and are good common courtesy, so I would expect people to be, like myself, polite - no matter whether they agree or disagree.

None of us need yours or vegas's approval to be fans/customers of Rocks TV, unfortunately, you seem to be under the delusion that we actually give a damn about your opinions. :mysmilie_17:

I never realised I said you needed approval to be a fan and/or customer of Rocks TV - I refuse to justify the fact that I am actually a fan of the channel, my other half has purchased a couple of pieces in the last fortnight... I'm just so sorry if I am part of the 'minority' that dares to have an opinion that isn't 100% in praise of Steve Bennett and his channel.

The man himself has proven he can take criticism and this is a discussion forum at the end of the day, I'm sure this website would fall flat on it's be-hind if we all posted how wonderful Rocks TV and every other channel was.

Sorry but I am not seeing any name calling anywhere just people with different opinions.

VP started a thread with questions (not popular ones) that she had in mind, like most of us have done on here at one time or another.look at some of things posted on IW or QVC for instance. Not all threads are popular and the world be a miserable place if we all agreed on the same things or had the same opinions.

All I am seeing here is thread with different opinions on it.

Please lets not get over excited and have a mod close it.


I like Rocks TV and it is still in its infancy, even with a man with X amount of years experience behind it, it is still going through the honeymoon stage, even more so with the new venture to TV selling. Give it a few years and everything will be running as smooth as a camels a*se. I would rather have substance than a shinny set and manicured nails.

Seems to me some people arent happy unless its up to their(dare i say) standards of perfection, I would like to see any of them reprogramme a whole website, start up an new shopping channel after doing fairly well with a web version, recruit new crew members, train producers to be presenters and vice versa, write a book, source gemstones, bring up a family, oh and have a manicure all within a fairly short time scale, and to have it all done perfectly, without a glitch, we're only human after all, and thats why we respect steve and co for their honesty, and dedication which is for us at the end of the day, Fair enough if you dont like the format or the fact thats its taken longer than you thought but there is no need to be so nasty and negative, cant you just enjoy it for what it is and look forward to new developments, give constructive criticism instead of just criticism.

Hi all

I feel that I am in minority as well!

I contacted SB in 2008 to find out what he was doing because Vinapris disappeared from the TV and Gems had some really awful presenters (still do) and dreadful jewellery.

I found Rock tv and have been watching it off and on since Sept 08. I have not joined the chat room (I found it intimidating) and I have not bought anything either. Btw it took me 2 years to find something I liked on TJC.
I have great respect of SB and I am very pleased that he has brought his new venture back to live TV. There are many problems that I am sure will be sorted out in time.

Steve is a businessman; he and his wife are making jewellery and selling their creations on TV. It's not a religion it's a business.
Constructive comments are always welcome; you can't live in a world of the "king got no clothes on"
Everyone on this forum is entitled to an opinion and if you don't agree say so but do so without being offensive or disrespectful to other members.

I am still going to watch Rock tv, I don't like of the plated jewellery and wooden stuff. I prefer the lorique collection however I get bored waiting to see if any will be aired. Some presenters are dreadful some are very good. We all have our favourites.

You may not think that my comments are valid or that my opinion is inconsequential. So be it.

Steve B has my absolute respect dyselxia is something that we share in common and I know how difficult life is when your words get tangled. I look forward to receiving my copy of the "lure" with errors with my first order.

...anyhoo, I don't think I am fanatical about rocks. Racing...yes, total fanatic, obsessive to the point of having obsessive compulsive disorder, but not about Rocks...I just state my opinion and if it differs to other people then they waste no time in telling me I am sure!

Yes, I defend them, but when some people are frankly acting like a spoilt toddler when mummy and daddy have had another baby, of course I am going to!!

I have said it in chat, and I will say it again here....even Steve can't give us the moon on a stick, although I don't doubt for a second that he would try and get it if we asked him to!

I'm lurking on Rocks - have given up trying to be reasonable as last time I tried I got a lot of protests. It is a shopping channel for goodness sake and I am sure that no-one wants the web site to be fully functional more than Steve so we buy even more!
