I do that too!
Since I retired a couple of years ago, I don't wear my pearls "out" as much as I used to, but I wear them at home or popping to the shops. They make me feel good and that's the main thing. I like my jewellery to match and so I have various sets that give me pleasure to wear and they will pass on to my two lovely daughter-in-law and my (up to now) two grand-daughters, who are also lovely, in the future. I hope to wear them myself for many years yet though.......
