I couldn't believe my ears yesterday when DF was presenting with Andrea Mclean. There was a particularly large ring and AM said it was comfortable to wear. DF can't resist a self promotion opportunity so she said she usually takes her jewellery off when she writes her novels but this was so comfy she would keep it on!! So there you go, another insight into the life of the multi talented DF.

Personally, when I'm reading a novel, it depends on the location whether I keep my jewellery on or not :giggle:

I was wondering what's happened to Andrea McLean ? hair poker straight, painted face like a doll and eyebrows that were beyond faux ! and I'm still floundering as to how this ex weather girl gets to 'design' jewellery. Oh yes, she just happened to be at the BAFTAS when qvc were providing the jewellery and she gagaaaaared over the 'pieces'. So now she designs for them. Pass the sick bag.

I got my Andreas mixed up, and thought you meant the blonde QVC model who got into past life therapy. She had a television series in which people were regressed to a past life, with various snorts of hilarity from my sofa. I decided to check up on her, and if it is the same woman (the moody photo seems to fit her) she is now doing Soul Releasement therapy. If you fancy a wander down memory's byway, and worry about your karma, you could look up Andrea Foulks.

I saw this and thought the same. She could have just said when she's typing the jewellery sometimes gets in the way.

I think Andrea's hair is far too dark.

Maybe DF is thinking of a new purpose designed range of jewellery? Rings suitable for typing in. Bracelets for pushing a trolley round Aldi. Necklaces that are particularly nice in selfies.

Isn't it the same with every so-called "Celeb" - suddenly, when they're no longer in the spotlight and drop to Z list, they are a "fashion designer", or a "jewellery designer" or bring out their own range of toiletries or make-up (i.e. Lulu and Linda Lusadi). To my mind, it's an insult to people who study and work for years to qualify themselves in a chosen field (such as Rachel Galley, jewellery designer, who spent years learning her craft). These people usually have ZILCH qualifications and are usually just a front - someone else does the hard graft. Anyone can draw a few "sketches" on a bit of paper and leave it to someone else to sort out the practicalities, that requires no talent whatsoever.

I sometimes take bracelets off if I'm working at the computer. But unless a ring is a real knuckle duster I can't see any reason to take it off to "write". Daft!

1) couldn't agree more.

2) That would be Victoria Beckham then ? (I've read recently that she sends out scouts to find the new designing talent.)

I tried the Lusardi skin care range on Ideal World, It's won awards so I thought I'd try and let's see if they're worth of them and you know what, it's absolutely brilliant! Well worthy of the awards. I've gone on the Auto Ship for the Lusardi 4 in 1 make-up, it's like Judith Williams magic make up but a million times better, I was ready to be sceptical, but it's brilliant.
