No More Prescriptives!

cross the beauty blogs at the moment is the news that Estee Lauder is closing down Prescriptives. You will still be able to stock up on the website until 31 January but after that, no more. Will this affect the TSV? Would you still want a TSV from a brand that is gone just a few months later?

WOW!!!! I am surprised. Estee Lauder are so involued in buying out outside brands. MAC, Bobbi Brown, Ojon, Jo Malone etc. Wonder if they are shaking as well.

Prescriptives don't have many counter in the UK compared to other brands out there.

I do like Prescriptives makeup. Will see if I can find anyone at the Prescriptives counter in our HoF tomorrow morning.

Estee Lauder have announced today that it would close its Prescriptives brand by January 31, 2010. The brand plans to continue to sell online for United States shipping at www.prescriptives.com to help service consumers for replenishment of key products, while inventory lasts. Prescriptives products are currently sold in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia.

This will definitely make me think twice about the TSV, it would be just my look to discover something that I love just as it's about to be discontinued!

I suspect they decided to do a TSV in order to shift products so they don't have as much to sell off at the counters.

I have been taking forever to finish an Estee Lauder mineral foundation and was going to go for the Prescriptives one...the Estee Lauder one is nice, but still not a perfect match...I don't know whether to go get a colour match or not now!!!

I have quite a bit of Prescriptives and was deciding on the TSV depending on what was in it and did I have the colours.

Stock up now Bakergirl, Prescriptives lippies etc last and don't go off for years.

I would imagine Prescriptives will have suggested they do a TSV!!!! They probably never wanted to before but now they have stock to shift!!!

She is always raving about Super Line Preventor Extreme!

Have to admit, I do like SLP Extreme, but it costs too much so I could never justify the purchase.

Still, I will miss the classics...
