Pipa suits it though. I couldn't comment on if she's good to her staff as I haven't met her or the people who work for her. As for working late into her pregnancy, as said, plenty ladies do. I know I did with all 3 pregnancies.

Well Nicky must think she suits her hair like that or she wouldn't get it cut that way. Just think its harsh to criticise someone for her fringe. And yes a lot of women work late in pregnancies, but Nicky doesn't need to, she owns the business and could send anyone, but she choose to go on, even though she wasn't too well. Think credit is due for that. I quite like her bracelets, i
have a few and they're very well made, and at least its a British designer, which is a change from all the American stuff, so i say good on her, she's expanding her business and employing people to work for her, (even a member of the public whom she met at a gathering at QVC who impressed her,) not many do that and in this recession its good to hear of a business doing well and expanding.

I like some of the Lola Rose jewellery. Its good that its a British brand and presumably its made in Britain too. As for Nicky I find her in a similar vein to Alexis in that I sense shes one of the priviledged London few if that makes sense. She is not particularly good looking in my view and I dont like her hair. It can hardly be exhausting to sit in a chair and chat about ones own jewellery for an hour so she is no heroine for that, and she probably likes to sell it herself even though she could send a rep.

I like Nicky. She strikes me as someone who what you see is what you get. She's well-spoken, polite and knows her products! She may well be well-to-do but fair play to her, she started her own business from scratch and has probably done well for herself. It's a good sign she comes personally to present the brand on QVC - it shows she has a considerable personal involvement in her business and the products she sells. Yes, it must look easy just to sit for an hour and talk about your jewellery, but as anyone who runs a business knows, it's hard graft most of the time and I bet she works fairly long hours too. Good on her for building a business from the ground and making a success of it. I do like her jewellery, not all of it though, and it is rather pricey, but its comparable to other "designer" brands out there.

someone posted earlier that its unusual thats obviously what she likes. i think it suits her and is kind of a trademark look i think she has a european continental background which has influenced her style of how she looks and her designs.

Oy! Nicky! Why the long face?

DD cut her fringe aged 4 and the hairdressers said all they could do to rectify was a v short "menkal home" fringe. Whilst I don't condone the stereotyping of mental illness the term has kind of stuck in our house.

I'd like to see her hair down for a change, even Jilly Halliday rings the changes more often than Nicky

I find her s l o w t a l k i n g more babyish than Claire Sutton....oooh does that cound as a positive about Claire for your thread Autumn?

Thank you Akimbo, thats what bugs me about these women,Lulu Guinness is another. They sound twee and its highly irritating.

I'm sorry, I don't feel she deserves as much credit as the ladies I have known to continue nursing whilst pregnant and my little boy's school teacher who worked hard until 2 weeks before giving birth. It's a shame she was ill but it's her job, she needs to suck it up and get on with it. Harsh? Maybe but that just how I see it. And if she comes on tv then she leaves herself wide open to critique on her appearance. I'll be the first to admit I'm not perfect before anybody throws that old chestnut in too.

I worked to 37 weeks as a Senior Midwife on a busy labour ward,stressful and hard work,but then I'm a hero ;)

She had a very short fringe before and a few members here have said how nice it looked, and maybe she saw that and continued with it, but this time it looked a lot shorter than her usual short fringe. All that matters is whether she likes it or not. I think she is one of the nicer guests on QVC. She does not hard sell. I agree that her jewellery is quite expansive, but the stones chosen seem good quality ones. Many others have copied her style of jewellery. Maybe they are expensive because they are made in UK and not in some far away sweatshop

Completely agree CTD if she likes it then fair play. It's not something I would choose but I'm sure many wouldn't choose my piercings and tatts. As long as she feels comfortable and confident then fab. How boring would life be if we all had the same taste :)

Nikki isnt my favourite guest (thats another story) i think she always looks well dressed and groomed. While i wouldnt choose to style my hair like that that, i think it suits her!

As for her products being british made - not so sure as i remember a number of years back she mentioned how some colours weren't in stock yet as they were somewhere on a ship from china! That being the case, there is clearly a lot of profit on her jewellery unless things have changed since then.
