I have just watched the YouTube clip of him breaking the TV Screen - Oh My! How embarrassing for the poor fellow. Poor Claire didnt really know what to say! Had to Giggle though - Live TV is great isnt it!:giggle:

Do we have a troll in out midst? I notice lots of similar comments in threads lately.

I believe the original poster Julius has now left the forum, have to say when he used to talk about himself I took it with a large dose of salt.
Lynn:cool:

I may be wrong (never!) but I got the feeling that the said poster who is leaving for the Army soon, wanted to shake things up a bit before his departure. These days I can only be stirred, not shaken.
Wherever you are, good luck.

He said he had changed his mind about joining the army, anyhow a lot of his posts were removed last night, hence he left along with a couple of other members.

It is a fine line between trying to be sharp/funny and coming across as nasty/vindictive. I have certainly misjudged it on occasion and no out will do it again at some point. Those of us who are posting on here (rather than lurking) are doing so because we want to be heard and to get a reaction. it's attention seeking in a way I suppose. I'm sure that's all Julius was doing, and ramping up the shock factor in order to increase the reaction he got.

The last thing we want to be doing is losing FM's who have something new to say. So I hope the people who have left come back.

Guy Fawkes night all year long: light blue touch paper and stand back to watch the sparks fly......

There's a digital Spy forum that I used to contribute to, but it was impossible to engage anyone in discussion because it was dominated by the same dozen or so members who would only interact with each other. Anyone else posting was,and still is, largely ignored. I stopped in the end because it was just the same subjects, agreements, disagreements going round and round. Boring! It's important to have new people.

With you on that BB but I suppose in a way it's inevitable that new people will bring up topics that have already been raised by longer standing members - especially on a forum like this when we are commenting on the same presenters and products that have been on air for some time.

What we need is a man with a sharply honed wit to create stories based on the everyday lives of Chiswick folk.........

Puts all this into perspective when you read what sweetpea has posted today in the drop (Que sera sera) - I'm sure I'm not the only poster who has been sharply reminded about the fragility of life by her brave, courageous and possibly final post - don't sweat the small stuff please :handshake:

Can I say I got the vibe Julius was actually someone who had posted here before, now using a different name. Just a vibe:wink:

I wondered that. I know I don't post much, as usually by the time I have a chance to catch up with all the posts someone has said what I would say anyway, but I do read most of the threads and I had a "familiarity feeling".

(Actually, that's quite a good description of me all over - reads a lot, says little!)

Yes that crossed my mind a while a go, but "H" was much sharper and funnier!

I got the feeling Julius is quite young and has yet to learn the location of the "fine line" Burlz mentioned. Hopefully everyone will come back, todays paper, tomorrows fish and chips or something?

On the fat fascism subject, I hate people who go through life exactly the same size regardless of all the temptations.

I also hate people with willpower lol!

There's something not quite right about your waist being the same size when you're approaching dotage as it was when you left school!!

At least the 'trolls' are leaving Lee Hobein alone - for once. You are spot on, though, Moth; some people do it through insecurity, others just because they're plain nasty. I hope no bad news surfaces about Nick.

I think this thread has run it's course now.
