Is it worth buying a separate neck cream or is it a scam?

Currently, I bring my moisturiser down onto my neck.

Has anyone seen a difference with any of the items on QVC or maybe a cream from somewhere else.

Your thoughts/experiences would be appreciated.

I’ve never really seen any difference in any of the before and after photos on QVC, whether it’s for a neck cream or facial one. Consequently I don’t buy them any more as I’ve tried quite a few in the past and found most of them too greasy. My neck isn’t too bad and I just use a hyaluronic serum on my face and take it down onto my neck. The bonus is that it isn’t greasy and sinks into my skin.

The ones QVC had that were really good have all been discontinued unfortunately. I'm using the Gatineau Age Benefit neck cream that came with the TSV before Christmas and it's better than others I've used recently. Usually all the ones that people rave about cost over £100 which is a bit too much to pay for me. I've never got on with the Prai cream or various others that have appeared on QVC.

It depends how self-critical you are. Truth is, everyone's neck starts to get wrinkles and sag in time according to how much time you have spent sunbathing in the past. No neck cream will lift the skin on your neck permanently. Look at the senior QVC model Pireot (wrong spelling). She has the whole gamut of neck creams available to her but none of them have done diddly squat. I would say that you should save your money and continue with what you are doing. (Most people will look at your face and not your neck, anyway.)

I am a pensioner and have no lines, wrinkles or sagging on my neck at all. My face now, that's a different story. 😅. For all the creams and serums I have bought and wasted money on over the years, I have many wrinkles, especially round my eyes.

My nephew is getting married next month, in a posh bliddy castle and apart from having no idea what to wear I would really like all my wrinkles to vanish for the day. Guess I'm living in hope of suddenly finding a magic moisturiser that will get rid of them all. If anyone knows of this magic potion I would be eternally grateful. 🤣

Also, what does one wear to a castle wedding? I bet you all have some great ideas, could do with a bit of advice. Bearing in mind I live in a small Yorkshire town that only has a Peacocks. 🫤He has paid for us to stay overnight as well. He is just so lovely.

I’d just wear something smart and comfortable, but could you ask your nephew if there’s any specific theme? I was going to be facetious and say a farthingale with a ruff or a suit of amour😱🤣

No specific theme. It looks a lovely place. No idea how we're even getting there. We don't have a car, looks like a taxi so that's £90. Unless someone comes for us, which is a possibility but I don't like to ask.

I've used Prai neck cream. The first time I used it, I definitely saw a tightening and my neck did look a bit better. Then I stopped using it, I can't remember why, but I bought it again last year and it made no difference at all. I just use my moisturizer now. I will follow this post with interest in case there is some 'miracle' cream out there that can help me with my wrinkly neck. 😁

If it’s a Scottish castle, how about tartan? I love tartan so excuse me but I’m sure you could get a very elegant dress in it but keep hat and accessories plain, gorgeous.

I’m 66 and very lucky to have a youthful neck, I put it down to wearing a scarf, my only benefit of an underactive thyroid and feeling the cold unless the sun is cracking the flags even with meds. I’ve creamed my neck over the decades with either neck cream or moisturiser and now use moisturiser. I used eye cream from 21 until my early 50’s when skin issues made me hypersensitive so now I use my moisturiser all over my face, I’ve started with crepey lids which 30+ years of yard duty in all weathers won’t have helped. Creams condition the skin but can’t hold back time. Dad in his 80’s was wrinkle free and mum, 12 years older, was too. They had good skin, non-reactive and were blessed. I’ve had to work at it fighting against all manner of allergies all my life, food and external.

I have loads of allergies too, from medications to ingredients used in all manner of things. It can be a nightmare at times.

I am very lucky, I have been told by friends I haven't a line on my neck. At 67 no lines. But I started using a neck cream in my late 20s or early 30s. Not a fan of sun bathing, which is a major contributor to neck wrinkles. The thing is once you have them no cream will get rid of them, you can get a neck lift. They say the skin on your neck is not the same as the skin on your face.

I do joke that when I am laid out in my coffin people will, WOW she had a great neck :ROFLMAO:

I’ve found a daily antihistamine tablet has taken the heat out of my skin, got rid of my rosacea but doesn’t stop my large dose vitD once a month tablet spot right in the middle of my cheek but I can live with that with all the other benefits.
