Now I'm feeling very guilty about telling you I'd seen your ring go for so much less.
It was pure chance that I saw it because I rarely watch Gems these days.

Is there any chance you could contact a personal shopper and see what price they quote?
You could say (with your fingers crossed ) you saw it go for £99 but just missed out.

In the distant past I did this and I actually got a blue diamond ring cheaper than it was in the live auction.

But for what it's worth I prefer the one in your basket now.

Don't feel guilty, I'd have been totally browned off if I'd paid £139 and seen it again at £99. I have seen it a couple of times since for £129, and having seen the bangle at £149 I'm now just not prepared to go that high. I'm willing to pay a fair price but hate being stung like that. Gems price variations didn't use to be as excessive as they are now. Usually it as just enough to add to the fun, now it's just downright confusing and for me stops spur of the moment decisions. They've lost a huge amount of my business because of this practice.

I'm prepared to wait either for that ring or another that I like so much that I won't feel the need of a second opinion, I'll just have to have it.

I've still got to decide what to do about the bangle as I can't really justify the cost of both. As it's going to leave me a tad tight for little wear, I'll probably have to dump it but I'm so happy now to have managed to get the ring (I am a ring person, and was beginning to think they may have all gone). I'll let fortune or Gems make the decision for me.
