Most liked and disliked presenters on QVC?

I see a post on Arsebook asking if A Young has left as she is missing from the list of presenters in the “stories” section of the menu.

Was she there previously? Being a qualified beauty specialist and all!

Interesting. She used to have a mugshot on the rogues gallery, same as Richard Jackson.
I don't think she has been in the studio since the first lockdown. Has AY had any shows recently?

She's the only tat peddler with a hairstyle that needs to be maintained regularly so like me she'll start struggling with it soon. Dusty's going to be around for some time to come & all the Wishin' & Hopin' in the world won't make any difference.

It could be that the "specialist" presenters have had their pages removed. I think Michael Perry's has gone as well.

I can't watch any show presented by Kathryn Goldsmith, her voice is so loud and goes through me.

One of my most disliked is Chloe and I remember reading on here about her stupid dancing with the Frank Usher lady. So I was quite appalled to see this on a little highlights reel they aired the other day. Clearly Q doesnt have a problem with her antics! My other pet hate is Del Boy. I like Alison Young and can watch Dale, Charlie, Michal and sometimes Craig. But most of the others either talk over people or shout (Simon, Kathy Taylor, a woman whose name I can never remember) and Alison Keenan who used to be very refined now just rattles off so much spiel I cant understand what she is going on about half the time. Jill Franks does neither but I just cannot take to her at all. So basically I try to record any show I want to watch and FF through the spiel because I think a lot of them are pretty awful.

Me too; I can't bear to watch her and was also shocked to see her silly performance used to highlight the channel. She can't keep still, she is always looking at herself in the monitor and she doesn't give the necessary information. Added to that she has her gob open on every bliddy photo she posts on her blog; I only look at it to prove my point! Unbearable. Jill Franks used to be my least favourite but since the advent of Ms. Everton I find her way less irritating.

Simon Biagi is also annoying; I only watch him to see how long it is before he says 'there's lots more in store' or 'scream if you want to go faster' when he is due to present what he thinks is a fast paced show.

The others I can bear to be honest with Jilly Halliday and Katie Pullinger being the least irritating at the moment. I don't mind Dale or Charlie either.

As to guests; Carla Lazlo comes across well and I don't mind Jenny Blackwell/hurst? Vonda Barnes is super- annoying though and I would ban her and Chloe Everton from the building if I were in charge. I find myself shouting at the TV when VB is on 'it's leather not levva!! it's marshmallow not marshmellow!!.....the thought of her being in the same show as Chloe Everton makes me start to twitch.

Don't mind Glenn or Julia if I am honest and I have always liked Alison Keenen.

On a final note, and a nice one at that, when I have see Ali Young of late she has looked really well. Better than I have seen her look in many years.

It may be no announcement will be made, but at present it looks like she and Q may have parted ways. Googling her the first reference is to her own website, and there do not appear to be any recent references to her

I have a soft spot for AY. She can make fun of herself, she is under no illusions about herself. Having met her at an infamous Beauty Bash, she was professional, polite, patient and never rushed anyone she was talking to...not one of the ones far up their own behind and giving themselves airs and graces. I also like Will Gowing, though I don't think his beard suits him.

Totally agree about Vonda. With any luck, her son's career will be so busy she won't have time to torture our ears with her terrible diction (no issue with accents, but speech is used to communicate).
Chloe has been allowed to run amock unlike at Sky. I wonder if she was like it as a child? Pushing the boundaries far past the limit?

I think they’re all bad but yes Biagi is just the most disingenuous shop assistant I’ve ever seen, I can’t watch him except for a few seconds if I channel hop and he’s there, yesterday he said he’s running out of his £90 Agenist, which is a lie because he said last week he’s “just” bought it. What I don’t like is that smug smarmy grin as he’s doing it. He’s the walking parody of a shopping tv presenter.

Yes, I am sure he “bought” it. Suddenly they are all buying products or have been lent them. Alex was lent the iron recently. I am sure she returned it, not. Well, they don’t fool us. The only fools are them who think they can manipulate viewers. If they are parting with any money for the products they are filling their homes with it will be a few token pounds so that they can use the word bought. Freebie Flint apparently has loads of Vionic boots etc. She must be QVC’s best customer, shame she can’t spin the wheel. As for SB I hope he takes note of your comments shopperholic or if not someone should. If I walked into a shop and he approached to serve me I would be looking for the exit and the same could be said for most of the presenters.

I wonder whether QVC in hard times are letting specialist salespeople who don't cover as many products as others, go first? It otherwise seems odd that Alison Young, who's been with them since forever and sold a lot of products for them may, like Claire, Debbie & co, have simply disappeared, wiped out, never to be spoken of again. I hope not - she was one of the most down-to-earth and I liked Will, too.

Maybe they are weeding out those who won't shout, shriek, lie, dive into Twitter, and shout out stans on air first?
AY wasn't forever going on about side hustles on air. Clearly she had her faults, but she would fail the faulty criteria which seem to be used for new and existing presenters, which marks her out as one of the better presenters in my view.

Hands-down the worst presenters for me are the dreadful duo of Simon B and Kathy Tayler. There are a lot of words I could use, but why waste any more effort on them?

I fear that the departure lounge could soon include other presenters who are less aggressive like Jilly, Charlie, Dale, Katy P and Anne. That's the full list of presenters who I can occasionally last an hour watching. Much as I like Ali K, her presenting is unwatchable due to the warp speed delivery, but she is also not (yet) aggressive.

Well if that happens May I shall not be watching any live shows!

I am probably putting the kiss of death on her, but I reckon AY could survive if she wants to. She doesn’t do the online stuff or a blog and we know she has her own online stuff for all that, and she does seem to be doing press things because I have seen her on judging panels etc in the paper and a magazine. So I reckon her deal is that she does the shows and they benefit from her elevated status in the beauty world (!) but Q let her do her own thing. And I reckon she is probably the only one to do her own thing “in the industry” rather than writing novels isn’t she? Does that make sense? I’ve just been for a walk and got so blown about I still feel a bit dizzy!
