What time was this please Andy? I'm on the warpath today.
The best I can do is the time stamp on the screen capture (17:28). Will that be good enough?

PS: it was this item she was selling when she said these two things.

That's perfect. Thank you.

The ASA just ask for an approximate time to help them find the specific claim that the presenter made otherwise they have to trawl through hours of footage and its a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I'm going to report this presentation, in addition to this ridiculous coated Baltic Blue Amber that she's compared to a $6.5m NATURAL BURMESE piece three times so far, and also in addition to the very misleadingly named 'Ruby' Quartz.

Its scandalous that this is allowed to happen time and time again with repeated slaps on the wrist.

Just to clarify (because that product doesn't pop up on the website), was it 925 SS she was selling and made this claim about?
Yes. It was this bracelet, with an associated same design necklace. Both Midas range pieces. She will have said it during the presentation of the bracelet (maybe more than once but that's when I switched on and heard it).

Thanks Andy. This is a disgraceful presentation.

Complete and utter BS yet again from Lindsey Carr.

A company founded by a man who wanted to wrest the jewellery industry away from the Ratners and other high street jewellers and inform the "average Joe", very successfully IMHO, to have retained a presenter of this standard and let all the others go is bonkers. We all have - and despite some people trying to suggest otherwise - said that we have nice pieces and are wistful about those earlier days and I personally have learned a great deal. I just felt, this once, that it showed utter contempt. It just poked me a little too much. 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure this is correct. It was a 99999999.99% silver piece (she exaggerated the 9s) from Tara Coomber that came in either plain or midas. It was on last night. Not 925. today's version is a similar thing but with hearts and spades

Tara Coomber pieces are Britannia (958) standard. Always set with precision faceted gems - her particular point of expertise, I don't think that she's done any in Sterling (925) or gold plating has she? Elizabeth Hunt is a specialist in the newest of Argentium alloys at 960 parts. I didn't think you could buy modern jewellery at Fine, 999 standard on Gemporia but TMWNN did mention a necklace earlier.

Certainly this particular "Alhambra" style of bracelet and necklace is Gemporia's Midas range and had no gemstones. Isn't that range always plated Sterling standard?

It was on last night. A new piece from Tara Coomber. Had a video from her accompanying. It isn't the argentium pieces like before.

I was surprised they would take lovely work with a unique selling point by a silversmith (supposedly) then whack chappy midas over it.

Quite possible. But the piece I heard the spiel for was Midas. Screenshot shows it and...

...the highlight is Google, not me. Not "Alhambra", hearts - my error. If you're in any doubt, a quick call with the item code should clear up any confusion. I would be surprised but chastened if they'd started coating Fine silver.

Confirmed. Standard Midas range, not 999.

And it was styled as "Alhambra" - thank goodness, thought I was going to have to call for nurse!

The presenters of Gemporia Polska always said that Midas = three layers of 18K gold.

Yes. I was right. Call centre confirmed. Phew. Some confusion somewhere. That particular bracelet was not 999 and not Hearts but marketed as "Alhambra"

I would be surprised too. Tara Coomber pieces tend to be Britannia 958, not Argentium 960 (there is an Argentium 935) and I'd be even more surprised if it was a piece with no gemstones at all from her. She is a master lapidarist.

I thought that, Primal aside and stuffing some cash into the business last year, Steve hadn't done anything regarding the Gemporia channel.

Jake "Supersize Me" Thompson is the Managing Director, and he doesn't strike me as being someone too troubled about truth or accuracy in selling.

I wonder if what they are doing is in fact emptying the so called vault of high prices tat with the occasional sort of decent item coming through. It will be better than a sale, making As much as they can while they can before April, and before starting something new or channel?? As someone said the David Harry web site is full of nothing! I just find it weird, the low grade items and long monologues which fill in time. Just my thought that they maybe ready for off with the old and ready for the new!!!
