Well yes, thanks for that. I look at digispy every day but only the home page and articles never the forums. Will save that link to the forums for a rainy day and fully charged iPad. It also mentions the airline cabin crew celeb list on pprune.org so have also added that to the reading list! Bet that has some gossip!

Fourth post says CB should be shot.

OMG I think I have managed to paste a link!!!! Nurse!!!!

Ooooooh, anyone see Breakfast News where they tried to disguise Lulu prodding away on an i-Pad to see what sport she should play in the run up to the Commonwealth Games ??? It was like a Question of Sport, where only certain camera angles of the face were shown and then the big reveal minutes later.

Dear lord, the camera angles on her mouth area did her no favours - more creases and wrinkles than my pile of ironing ! Time Bomb didn't work when that was filmed to be sure. Must be excellent lighting and make-up when she does the QVC stint.

sadly SOME of the rudest people are airline staff. if your not a celebrity they wont look you in the eye

Yes I agree ...I'm not a celeb :mysmilie_17: But a really jumped up air steward...." They're only skivvies but in the sky" ( Denise on The Royle Family) Got snotty with me as I used posh class toilets ....tea trolley was in the way etc...I was desperate....:mysmilie_10:....she kept on at me that I wasn't allowed to use it so I stopped her in her tracks and asked if I was supposed to ...well wet myself then ? As the tea trolley was taking ages .......she couldn't answer me .....BA that was on i i say it stands for Bliddy Awful:mysmilie_17:

She backed down and I was not shirty with her ...she just could not answer me :mysmilie_11:

Like everything else these days, manners, respect and looking smart have gone forever - with no indication of them ever returning !!!

My dream in the 60's was to be an Air Hostess - (not 'air steward' or 'cabin crew' !) - images were everywhere then of smartly groomed girls with fabulous uniforms and make up, (bit like the WRAF) flying to all parts of the globe. There wasn't a Croydon facelift in sight with the donut plonked on the back of the head, and girls bursting out of their ever so slightly looking grubby uniforms, like there is now.

Airline crew

I am airline crew myself and don't agree with your comments regarding crew aren't nice unless you are a celebrity.
Dealing with the general public that are constantly rude really takes it toll .and as for comments regarding skivvies in the sky why is ok to slay off any ones job? Is it ok to say someone is only a cleaner, only a dustman, only a carer? Everyone s job is important.
That skivvy in the sky might save your life one day

Completely agree about BA air stewards. I only fly Virgin Atlantic now, I once paid for an upgrade on a flight as I was travelling home from the states alone (after visiting friends out there) and didn't really want to sit for 9 hours crammed in next to total strangers (call me stuck up if you wish, I've been called worse lol). The ticket obviously wasn't cheap but I still felt as if they were looking down on me and weren't treating me the same as they would someone famous.

In fact when I boarded the plane they tried re-routing me to the economy class without even looking at my ticket, maybe i just looked rough that day, but i still think it was quite rude, during the flight they even asked to see my boarding pass again (just in case i'd snuck in without them seeing me), they offered me a glass of bubbly during the flight (after determining I was actually meant to be there) and the stuck up ***** of a steward said to me "don't worry its a good make, it won't be like that cava you buy for a couple of pounds" :mysmilie_51: i've never bought that in my life!!! mainly because i much prefer a glass of red, but what a cheek!!

I've since flown with virgin and they are sooo much nicer, i cant speak for everyone but in my opinion virgin atlantic really care about all their passengers no matter where they sit or how much they've paid for their ticket (i've been in both economy and upper class with them and have always had top class service), I was once on the same flight as ralph from honora - why he paid for an upper class seat i'll never know - he slept from the moment he got on the plane till the moment the plane touched down.

Once on a Virgin flight to Vegas I ordered a drink whilst listening to the film so had my earphones in. Now I know that can make you shout but all I said to the stewardess as she walked by (and I had a witness) was "excuse me, could I have an orange juice please?". She stormed back, yelled at me that she was not obliged to put up with abuse from passengers and would report me to the captain if I carried on!!!! My hopeless friend was hysterical by the time she had finished and I had regained my composure (I was so stunned I couldn't answer and TBH I don't drink on flights so I certainly wasn't being lairy) so he would have been no good as back up had I taken any action so I just had to stick it out for rest of the flight. Lots of choice Anglo Saxon was muttered under my breath though. Perhaps she was just a bit mad.

Oh I'm going to vegas with virgin shortly, I'll be sure not to order orange juice lol... she's lucky it wasn't me i'd have taken it further and told her to go get the captain, maybe he'll get me an orange juice lol... jeesh its their job to assist people, and if you had said please it was polite so what was their problem? no offence intended but surely they should be able to deal with passengers that are rude as well as the nice ones (not calling you rude, just saying they should be used to all sorts of situations).

The irony was my friend drank nearly non stop the whole flight! I wished I had when this all broke out! I think I was uncharacteristically quiet cos I was in shock at her reaction and then a bit worried one of those post 9/11 Air Marshals might have been on board and arrested me, LOL. I certainly had a few drinks that night though!

I've not really had any problems with cabin crew but i do not like Ryannair and avoid flying with them as much as possible. Had a great flight back once in club class on BA from Cyprus where for some reason all us passengers bonded and had a impromptu party which involved us drinking loads. Eventually the chief steward came and shouted out in a pleasant way that it was his cabin and that we had almost drunk it dry and the party was over. Everyone dutifully returned to their seats.

Well one Alitalia flight back to the UK I sat in really squashed economy and the old git next to me started to read a HARD CORE, and trust me I am not talking top shelf in WHS stuff, porn mag. Unless I had closed my eyes all journey I couldn't avoid seeing it and I do not want to see close ups of vaginas in my peripheral vision! I asked to change seat and the older stewardess could not understand my problem!

I don't actually think that they are skivvies ...i just love The Royle Family script ...that is why I quoted it ..and the way the script is delivered....most air hostesses are absolutely lovely but the one i encountered was snotty ...and I just wanted to quote that to her to bring her down a peg or too....obviously I didn't because I would not be rude...not likesome of them .... ..:mysmilie_17:
