I understand why people mock Lulu Guiness as buying a plastic bag is all about disposable income which most of us dont have. However I love the new tsv as I think it is elegant and expensive looking and cute. I cannot afford it but ez pay might help but I have never had patent and I am not sure about that. I love her lips bags not bags in lips shapes but lips shapes on them....anyway I love bags really....

Something stranger has happened. I started the thread to find out what the Lulu Guiness TSV is.

The thread has now turned into making fun and mockery which I find extremely insulting. Yes we all have our opinion and yes we are entitled to voice it however some ladies on here may want to consider occassionally NOT voicing it or choosing a less mocking way.

I can't stand Kim & Co products and would never wear them but I also respect that there are thousands of women out there who love the clothes and good luck to them. If I were to insult the clothes, I would also be insulting the people that buy them.

Please think and consider others feeling sometimes

The only person in this thread that has been insulted is Daisy when you suggested that she didn't understand the word mockery, I find that very rude and not the normal tone of this forum.

Well, I make no secret of my Kim addiction and I have been mocked remorselessly. Am I offended? No - neither do I feel as if I ought to be. AFAIK, no'one has mocked me out of nastiness, disrespect or a wish to offend, it's all light-hearted banter. Life's too short to take offence at the opinions of others, especially when it wasn't intentional.

Not at all. What makes you think that others would be insulted by your comments because you had insulted a stranger's clothing range? Not that I think you did actually insult anyone. Even my best of friends on this forums have expressly described things that I have bought as crap, or crap range and so on. Why should I feel insulted? Should people be terrified to speak out?

I think you should just be more confident in you like and buy.

I like kipling bags and mostly on here, they're ripped to shreds.I've bought the odd piece of kim and Co.

I bought the stem press on monday (?) and by large on here, that wasn't well recieved.

But hey, like its been said, its all banter - I don't like it personally.

I'm not at all interested in plants,gadgets,hangers,DIY- but it doesn't mean I don't throw my tuppence into the discussion as well.

I *heart* Lulu Guinness bags and have 4 of them!

There is an element of mockerly on this forum, especially about the more expensive skincare lines (Gatineau seems to come in for a rough time of it, although personally I like their range) but then there is also a lot of mockery aimed at QVC in general (some of which is well deserved!), but clearly we all like it enough to carry on shopping with them. I say we don't take it to heart and live & let live.

As you don't know any of us, do you actually care what we think? If you like something and want to buy it, buy it - it's very simple.

All the joking and mockery of just about everything on this site is what makes it such fun.

Thats meant to say i don't TAKE it personally .................DUH!!!!

I'm passing as we need to replace a small basin and wc, which can be done for that price.

I like it, I love patent bags in bright colours but I don't love it enough to pay that price for it  unfortunately I've got designer taste and beer money :giggle:

I like Lulu and some of her range, however if i'm laying out that kind of scratch I much prefer to spend it on Coach-non-signature-leather bags, their designs are brilliant and the leather is superb, superior to Mulberry,-yes,I've compared-,at half the price.

I do enjoy watching Lulu Guinness,I find her manner very entertaining. She reminds me of Karen from Will and Grace.

I love Mulberry and would rather spend my money on that brand any day.

I like Mulberry too and certainly wouldn't say eff off to anyone who wanted to give me one, lol.
However, with Mulberry what you are paying for with that brand is the cachet and the fact that they are manufactured in the UK and maybe Italy. As a handbag connosieur I still believe that Coach leather's are superior to Mulberry and Coach bags get better and better with age.Another thing with Mulberry is that they have great re-sale value,I've seen the most tatty looking Bayswater's going for ridiculous sums on e-bay,just coz they're Mul's.

I have a Mulberry organizer which I love, given to me as a gift, but I wouldn't have paid the price it was going for.

Kind of ironic that QVC are celebrating this Best of British day, kicking it off with Lulu, when all her products are made in China, not that I'm a complete snob about things made there, because great things can be and are made there,Coach is made there now.Coach used to be made solely in New York and a few other American states and then they outsourced to the east sometime in the early 90's I believe, the quality dropped for a spell and then they upped their game again.
I have one Coach bag which I've had since I was 19,not one stitch had dropped, not one zip malfunction, not one stain and I'm now in my late 30's,this bag has been through the wars and it still looks great.
The way I'm banging on about this brand, anyone would think I work for them but I don't,I just LOVE,LOVE,LOVE them.I'm just enthusiastic and would recommend this brand to anyone who wants a great, long lasting, leather bag.

I would say go for the all leather designs, not the signature, because these are too easily counterfeited, like Gucci and LV.

I own 6,this is not an excessive of amount of bags in nearly 20 years I don't think??,I just bought a new one about a month ago, first new one for 5 years,I'll attach a link.
Coach has been around since 1940 and Mulberry since 1971,it's interesting that a lot of Mulberry's hardware does not look disimilar to that of Coach(I wonder where they got the inspiration?? hmm?;),I've even seen bags in Next which try to look like Mulberry's and think "that looks like a Coach".

Anyway, that's enough of a dissertation on my favourite brand, hope I haven't bored you all into a coma, here's a link to my latest baby.

You can't really get a sense of how luxe the leather is in this pic,but trust me it is and the zip quality is supreme!! This is the style I have, only my one is in pink.

Regarde.
