Lip lift

John used to be in a show back in the 80s on BBC 1. It was like the Clothes Show that used to be on, but about make up and skincare trends. I also remember he was resident beauty expert in one of the big magazines. He was into the scarves and bright suits back then, not as thin as now but looked the same bald etc. I do remember on a beauty forum, a few people thought he was gay. But, it turned out he had been married to the same woman for years.

I blame the Lip Lift on Alison Young, she swore it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I do remember Youth Lift and even bought it once. Yes, you were no suppose to move your face for so many minutes until it set. Awful stuff.

How many of us have fallen for the Lip Lift hype? I did & it is very average product ( am being kind there). There are much better lip products out there and for less money, time QVC retired this but are there still those who are falling for it?
Me! I’m one of them. Some years ago I was watching the QVC beauty awards and Gayle Hayman’s lip lift won the ultimate award- customer’s favourite product. I suffer badly from dry and sore lips so I jumped at it and paid £36 for a pack of two that came with a free scarf that looked quite pretty. The scarf was as thin as you like so really not worth having but the balms themselves were dreadful. They did absolutely nothing for my lips, they didn’t even moisturise them let alone make them appear plumper. I would actually go as far as to say that they dried my lips out even more. I really should’ve returned them when I had the chance- silly me. They ended up in the bin! These days I stick to cheapies like Carmex or Vaseline and they do a good job. Funnily enough Carmex in a tube dries my lips out terribly but in a pot it works a treat. So yes folks GH lip lift is a complete over hyped load of rubbish!

I remember trying this when on special offer.

Vaseline does a better job.

And as for that amazing mystery ingredient, "maxi-lift" (seriously, what is it?) , should be reported to Trades-Descriptions!

If you haven't tried it, you only have to look at John, the ambassador, to see how well "maxi-lift" works.

(Clue: His lips are hardly visible).💄💋
I always laugh when hes on selling a lip plumping product for a lot of money when his lips are just an opening slit.
