I have started this to post about an upcoming Lidl health & beauty offer so it’s separate from the Aldi thread but I doubt it will be that busy as Lidl’s health and beauty selection is nothing like as extensive. So maybe it could be used for any Lidl offers and Middle of Lidl specials, such as electricals and things for the home, if you see something interesting?

You need the Lidl Plus app for this (recommended anyway if you haven’t already got it on your phone). The offer is 15% off the home & beauty range, which are all dupes of well known brands of toiletries and candles and diffusers. (Aldi has more cosmetics and skincare.) The offer runs in the app from Thursday 30th January to Wednesday 12th February. Stand-outs for me (tried and approved, also favourably reviewed by others) are the l’Occitane copy hand cream (100ml for £2.11 - was £2.49) and liquid soap (£2.54 with app offer) and the Jo Malone copy hand washes and lotions (£1.69, down from £1.99). The White Company copy hand washes and lotions are also popular. They are not shown here but they are tall, slim bottles and I think they’re the same prices as the Jo Malone copies (will be £1.69 instead of £1.99).

Great offers. I have also tried the relax shower gel used it in the bath too. Very nice. The locci hand wash and cream also very good as are the liquid soaps in picture 5. Thanks for posting.
They’re the Lush copies, aren’t they? Apparently very much like the originals which are £25 or more.

There’s a lot of candles and diffusers - I am not sure about the candles, which I think have too hard wax so don’t seem to burn as well, and I don’t get much of a fragrance. (Aldi candles are more popular, though I’ve had mixed results with those myself.) I really like some of the Lidl diffusers, however, particularly the Green Garden (picture 3 - copy of Rituals). It seems to last ages and gives off a good scent.

Are the hand washes in the store all the time? Or are they just specials? We have a superstore fairly near us, I may have to have a walk down there!
Yes, since they first arrived (October?) they have been there all the time and the shelves seem to get regularly re-stocked. They are not in the middle but over near/opposite the Cien stuff.

Yes lush copies. Thanks for the heads up regarding the rituals. I'm Aldi and Lidl hunting shortly. For some reason not tried Lidl candles yet. Aldi candles but and miss for me.

The hand washes are always in my store, as are the shower gels. I buy the shower gels for everyday use, and use them for hand washing as well, because they’re a lot cheaper than MB and that means I can save my rather large MB stash for special occasions. The fragrances are almost identical to MB although the scent doesn’t last on the body for as long but that doesn’t matter to me when I’m just wandering round the shops or having coffee with friends.

You can’t smell the diffusers in the shop, of course, so try sniffing the matching candle for an idea of the fragrance, even if it’s less strong in the candle. It won’t be everyone’s choice but I’ve got a thing for that Green Garden one at the moment! I’m stocking up next week - a 60p saving is still a saving!

I love this gadget, but mine packed up recently, and I will be picking up a new one this weekend. It looks slightly different from my old one though.

The hand cream is as good as L'Occitane one.

The rose and rhubarb hand wash smells the same as MB but the formulation is much thinner in consistency, and the scent doesn't last very long.

I looked these perfumes up a few weeks ago when Marina mentioned them on the Aldi thread and here is the list showing dupes. I am not certain about some of them as there may be more than one suggestion of what they’re like but I’ve gone for what seems to be the consensus or the most reliable information. Aldi, of course, blatantly announce what their perfumes are “inspired by” with photos of the originals 😂 😂

Suddenly (Women’s)
  • Agua Marina 100ml = Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gioia
  • Chalou 75ml = Chloe For Her
  • Cotton Blue 100ml = Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue
  • D’Elle 100ml = Narciso Rodriguez For Her
  • De Amor 100ml = Cacharel Amor Amor
  • Femelle 75ml = Lancôme La Vie Est Belle
  • Lovely 75ml = Dior J’Adore
  • Madame Glamour 75ml = Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
  • Rebile 75ml = YSL Libre or Chanel No5
  • Stylish Girl 100ml = Carolina Herrera Good Girl
G.Bellini (Men’s)
  • Acqua Fresh 100ml = Acqua Di Gio pour homme
  • Dark Blue 100ml = Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme (apparently smells very similar to this although the name and appearance suggests Hugo Boss Dark Blue)
  • Elegance 100ml = Hugo Boss The Scent
  • Homme Sport 75ml = Chanel Allure Homme Sport
  • One Fragrance 75ml = Paco Rabanne One Million (looks like but apparently doesn’t smell much like it)
  • Victory 100ml = Paco Rabanne Invictus
  • X-Bolt 75ml = Hugo Boss Bottled
They are all eau de parfum and some are 75ml, some 100ml, as indicated. They are £4.99 in Lidl but I haven’t bothered to look up the prices of the branded perfumes, mainly because they are all widely available and priced competitively so it’s a bit pointless stating the RRP.

I thought that pricing was weird - all £4.99 regardless of size. I was also quite sure I’d seen them for £5.99 or £6.99. On the other hand, when you pointed out that perfume stand by the tills a while ago, they were on offer for £4.99 and I wonder if they will be having them on offer again for Valentine’s. It’s next week’s leaflet, isn’t it (from Thursday 6th) so could be?

It's from Thursday 6th and all confusing, I saw those perfumes until resently in my Lidl, they were not selling very well.
