we know your daughter had a QVC wedding but we have had enough of it! We don't need to see all the photos AGAIN.

Has Ali K stopped with hers yet?

Edit -,we are now hearing about Q jewellery given on the day of her engagement

Enough now Kathy

We've only just stopped hearing about her daughter studying medicine (assuming it's the same daughter who got married?). Can understand how proud she must be of her, but at one time she mentioned it almost every time she was on air, even when it had little or nothing to do with the subject in question, ...yes, Kathy, we know........enough already.

Oh they make me sick with their babble about their private lives and family events, especially when they use them to flog overpriced baggy frocks, glass jewellery or some other cheap quality/high priced tat.
My kids would be horrified and think it the height of bad taste if I trawled my life, their life and my grandkids lives on selly telly or a sales orientated blog.
Geez who reads or watches this rubbish ?

The 11am jewellery has been taken up with it from stories to photos.

Sorry Kathy it is obviously very very important to you but you are being PAID to show me jewellery not to sell me a QVC wedding.

Engagement jewellery? Is this a new trend?

It was a BI friendship bracelet which she bought and had the daughters and SIL names engraved in it to be given on the day of the engagement.

Obviously she had plenty of notice if my Q deliveries are anything to go by.

I'm glad it's not just me that's fed up to the back teeth of all this daughter getting married business. Yes Kathy, mine got married on 27th December. Did I go on about it here or anywhere else? No. Why do some people think that personal aspects of their lives are of supreme importance to other people? In my opinion AK went on about her wedding ad nauseam.

It has got very tedious! I was fed up in the run up to the wedding listening to Kathy harp on about all the Bethlehem lights she had bought for doing up the venue. It was a DIY wedding you know! As if anyone could escape that fact given how much she suffered on about it. I wish these presenters would realise the majority if us couldn't give a toss about their private lives!!!

I suspect they're just following instructions. The FB and Twitter crowds love hearing about the presenters' private lives, follow the bloggs etc., and people here may not hold the majority view. I suspect that Q uses these occasions as selling tools to those folk.

It looks like the wedding outfit was also bought from Q:mysmilie_11:

Yes it was, we have been told by all and sundry at every available opportunity that the cape was the Frank Usher TSV from a week or 2 ago, the headband also FU, a Join dress and B&W jewellery. Probably a Kiplng bag somewhere too if truth be known.

Everything else was also QVC, if you look at her blog you will get every detail, that is if you haven't heard it again, and again and again

I'm sure if any of us went into work and spent an hour - let alone several hours - of work time showing our holiday snaps or snaps of a son/daughter's wedding we'd be told to save it for breaks. The fact is these sort of pictures are only ever of interest to someone who is personally involved with the person, their friends or family. To everyone else it's a colossal bore. OK, mention it in passing, but then move on. I find it quite funny that they are so egotistical, they assume everyone else is deeply interested in theirs and their family's doings. Little or no self-awareness.

I appreciate that these personal stories can be annoying if repeated often on air (I only saw Kathy showing her iPad photos once but I haven't been watching a lot of QVC recently) but I did think she looked really lovely at her daughter's wedding. The dress and cape etc really suited her and she looked so happy which made her face light up in the photos. She is a beautiful woman but, in my opinion, doesn't realise it herself.

She did look lovely and beaming with happiness, I wouldn't begrudge her being proud of her family. :mysmilie_497: Maybe QVC want her to mention it?

I'm glad she wore a hat. :mysmilie_46::mysmilie_501::mysmilie_852:

From what has been said in this thread it sounds to me like Kathy had some sort of contract with QVC re daughters wedding. Like Alison Keenan no doubt did too.

I think it was a fur head band rather than a hat as such (well from the umpteen times it was mentioned)

I agree she did look well (but would you wear you work "uniform" as mother of the bride??

Yes I'm really sure she was delighted with one and all but IMO all that Q product endorsement at every opportunity smacked of Anthea Turners chocolate bar wedding.

And anyway enough is enough, she is there to do a job and it's not as if she is the most on the ball presenter who can afford to be distracted.

Before I even opened the thread I'd guessed what it'd be about LATI :mysmilie_59:

I couldn't imagine Kathy in a really formal "mother of the bride outfit" so maybe she went for something within her comfort zone. She did look lovely and it did look like a great day. I'm sure she's really proud of her daughter and rightly so. Maybe QVC do want her to talk about this as it's all part of blurring the lines between the presenters being sales people or being our friends. That said despite going on her blog to have a look at the pics I don't want to hear about the wedding every time she's on.
