I'm a solicitor, but haven't practised family law for years. As much as I'd love to help (if I had the knowledge), solicitors have to be very careful providing personal legal advice outside of the formal client-solicitor relationship. I hold a practising certificate but I am not insured to provide private legal advice outside of my professional practice (which is insured). I know that Barnados offers quite a lot of advice on this subject. I wish you good luck with your quest.
