Laura Geller & Alpha H TSV's/Beauty Day 13/2/11

I'm much the same, I fear reds and plums just make my eyes look bloodshot and my eyelids look bruised.

The QVC reviews for the Roseberry shade are a bit mixed. Some say it's too intense for fair skins, other say it's a perfect. Can anyone here describe the colour - is it blue-based or a yellow-based, warm-toned pink ?

I would actually describe it as warm-toned. Mine had a lot of copper in it and on my fair, cool skin it was a bit much. I would say it would look best on an olive skin.

I think the lipgloss is the same one as was in the Foundation stick US TSV (or at least they look the same to me). I'd sy that means we won't get that TSV in future. Not sure whether we'll get The Tropics collection. We might get Vanilla Nudes next.

Must admit, after really looking forward to this kit, I am now wavering.

Me too. If it included one of her blush/foundation brushes that might have swung it for me as I find they're the best for getting the right amount of product, especially the blushers. My natural hair brushes tend to pick up too much baked powder and that's when I can get the 'aunt sally' look too.

I keep hoping for an Eye Rimz with brush to be including in a TSV. I love those.

Just to let you gals know I tried out the LG blush dup in ER/Orchid and it's GORGEOUS!! Really pretty, slightly shimmery abd very unusual when the colours are blended together. The ER is pinky, the orchid is corally so a lovely mix :clapping:

So for any of you expecting the AD you're in for a treat!

oh I am disappointed with the LG TSV. Do not like the smokey eye look all that much and agree with people that the blush is better on olive/tan looking skin. So might have to give this one a miss sadly.I do not understand what is happening! There was a time where I bought all the beauty TSV, well almost all.
And is it me or are there very few smashbox TSV's now comapred to the previous years? Or maybe I have missed one or two?

I miss the days when SB used to have full sized face brushes in their TSV's. Now it's ALWAYS a flipping eyeliner brush, I had loads and ended up selling them on eBay, you can only use so many! I found a lot of their TSV's too tended towards brown and were getting very boring. The purple one they had recently was a lovely change and a very nice TSV. I bought the Ultimate Eyes kit recently too and it's very nice, would have made a nice TSV as it came in three different options.

Anyone know what might be in the Alpha H kit? Just opened my sample of Liquid Gold and am impressed with it so far, only 2 uses, but I'm already looking to buy a full-sized one but will hang on if it's included in a kit.

I love Laura Geller but won't go for this because it's got too much purple and it's the only colour I just can't wear; it makes my eyes look sore. Also I've still got a balance and brighten from a previous TSV so I was hoping she would leave that out as it's always included and go for just eye products.

I also love LG but am not going for this either. As I said before, I do not like Balance and Brighten and really don't want another one! I have plenty of purple eyeliners already and eyeshadows for that matter, so might just get the blush separately if I like the colour.
