I thought someone may have already strated a thread on this TSV; are these things still in vogue, I'm sure they were popular int he eighties!

It's such a rubbish TSV - well I guess someone must buy them cos they have those Yamaha hours.:50:

it's horrible - you hear the sound of the keys as they are depressed (a thudding sound) above the "music".

Next, they will be bringing out a new version of that stylophone thingy that Rolf Harris used to advertise.

Keyboards can be great fun. At least it keeps you off the computer. I've got a Yamaha, and it is fab ! And it makes a change from jewellery, lingerie, perfume etc. But get a pair of ear plugs too. It can be painful listening to someone leaning how to play a keyboard, lol :21:!

We have one of the Yamaha ones - they are very good. Really only use it on its various piano voices - no room for a real piano and other members of the family can play. I can plonk simple tunes - Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer and My Favourite Things being particular specialties - with one hand but I am getting a bit better each time!

We have recently bought a Yamaha one for my son who is learning piano/ keyboard.
I wondered if we had done the right thing in going to a local specialist music shop,but hearing the keys clunking on the TSV makes me realise that there is no substitute for professional advice.

Yes, I think the Casio one sounds nothing like as smooth either. Seriously the Yamaha has a 'voice' called Bright Piano - it sound just like the pianos we had at primary school, and like the one my Grandma used to play to me! Ahh memories ...
