Just moments ago - about 18:18 18/11/2024 and the presenter is showing an 'email' that she got from her bank which seems to be recommending to her to invest in gold!! That has to be the biggest LIE. How many rules/laws would a bank be breaking to be recommending its customers to speculatively invest in precious metals. I saw red! Why do they let these rogues spout these untruths!!?

I saw that, but only just. Saw her with her phone showing 'stuff' and mentioned it was her bank sent it. Yes, you said that, but I don't recall any bank that would suggest investing in metals of any kind. Unless I just don't bank at those kind of places.

Oh how I wish they had competency related redundancies. As far as I can see they would nearly all go. Excluding Jeff who seems to know his stuff. Has anyone noticed they are now interfering with Jeff’s shows to their detriment. He has said a number of times that he’s not allowed to show some things and I have requested 2 items in the same show and neither was shown. Just about the only show worth watching and they are running it into the ground. It’s not really worth staying up for anymore. Are they TRYING to fail for some reason.

Totally agree. Jeff's shows are the best of what they have and they treat him so shoddily not allowing him to show any jade and barely any pearls. Plus he is on so late it's like they are deliberately dissing him and self sabotaging the company.

I'm glad he's on late because it allows Jeff to be Jeff.

Steph used to be one of the better presenters, but even she has started rolling out the dubious claims and changed her presenting style since moving to one of the busier timeslots.

If Jeff was put onto daytime slots, I'm of the opinion that he too would be ordered to start using more dubious claims in order to flog things.

It makes you wonder if that's why the more credible presenters decided to move on. I was surprised when Alex McKay left Gem Collector at the time - but having seen what a s**t show the channel has become in such a short space of time, I reckon he knew what was coming, and thought "not on my watch - I'm off". I tuned in briefly the other day to see graphics of excepts from books, dubious price comparisons and long drawn out waffling speeches similar to those on Gems TV. There's no way on earth that Alex would have tolerated all that nonsense.

The only letters I've seen saying anything like this have been junk mail from coin companies trying to get you to buy half and full sovereigns, or other coins. But I would be amazed if any Bank would send out letters like this.
