Love Join clothes ( can't afford them though!) but what possessed QVC to put Kathy Tayler in their dress- she looks like a bag lady- not a good advert for the product- unlike Evie who looks gorgeous in all of their stuff!

Yes, Kathy really needs a good overhaul as she rarely gets it right for her shape. In the Join dress, lovely though it is, she looks like a galleon in full sale - fashionable plus comfort are occasionally not good bed mates.

I do like Kathy, but I don't know what has got into her just lately, she seem to be dithering in her presenting more and more, I have even muted her a time or two, her fashion sense seem to have deserted her...today in the join outfit she did look like a bag lady.

I caught sight of Kathy in that dress & over garment. She looked awful this sort of look just does not suit her. Before I lost a bit of weight & bought clothes that were loose & floaty. They did nothing for me in fact made me look twice the size.

I think Kathy is buying into all the hype the stylists pour forth and lost her way ...you have to be a certain weight and shape to carry some brands/styles off and she is missing it completely She said something like she would never have tried some of the fashion if she hadn`t been advised to by the stylists at QVC .... Well going off what they put together sometimes its little wonder how wrong the advice they have given her !!

I think Kathy is a very pretty lady, lovely face, but she does herself no favours, especially with her hair - like JF's it needs a good cut and style (haven't they got an army of these people working for Q?)

Glen Campbell probably said it was bang on-trend, that there was a story coming through, dress it up, dress it down, nautical / safari look, fling on apair of Birkenstocks.

Kathy didn't look good, the floor length waistcoat was too much over a dress with a wonky hem.

There were a few good items in the show with vibrant colours but the one size thing puts me off.id be swamped.

Couldn't agree more ! Its a fallacy that loose and baggy cover up - when in fact they just exaggerate the size. I'm not small and have a tummy and bum, BUT I never wear long T shirts that cover up, especially over trousers, they just make me look enormous. I generally have about 6" cut off the bottom so that the hem sits on my thigh. Its staggering how much slimmer I look. Thigh length jackets (of course with the right length sleeves) is also a slimming trick.

Its just knowing how to present your own body in the best possible light, for example, if you have 'heavy' legs then you never wear ankle strap shoes. A stylist who knows her 'stuff' would know all this, but having seen some of the 'stylists' on Q who look as though they should still be doing the paper round, and dress out of a jumble sale bag, I'm not surprised that Kathy can look a disaster sometimes.

The stylists for Q are only there to sell the clothes so even if they do think they look horrendous they are not going to say so.I find it hard to believe that Lesley Ebbetts with her supposed track record of style advice can enthuse so much about the wonderful fashions. I don't watch every show , but I have never heard her advise certain body shapes to avoid certain patterns, cuts etc. it's always - this is for everyone .I have heard Julia Roberts sometimes give this advice and I think she tends to be a bit more open about what suits people.

Pity she doesn't always follow her own advice because rarely have I seen Julia in a QVC outfit that actually flatters her body shape and she invariably goes for things that show off her worst part, from the neck to the waist (no, Julia, huge ****s don't necessarily look good and sometimes need minimizing along with a big midriff). What are the QVC stylists there for? It seems just to flaunt QVC "fashion", no matter what it looks like or who wears it. There's no effort on their part to match up an outfit with a model or presenter but then I suppose the presenters are on a rota so they just do as much as they can get paid for.

I thought Julia looked really well on the Honora show last night - the white spotted (think it was spots) floaty top really lifted her. I didnt catch which range it was from and of course she was behind a desk so I couldnt see the shape.

It was Biba. Someone tweeted her about it.It suited her.

Just received the Join maxi dress in khaki, with the sweeping hem - ITS A KEEPER !! (although its going to be a bugger to iron !)
