Bullshitter Ben was just selling the towels and said they were going to do them all in for under £20 so they dropped the product price to £10 and then he said they are going to open the phonelines in 3,2,1 'open the phonelines' but just as that was about to happen the foghorn started again and they dropped it to £7.99, much to his total shock and surprise.

It's blatant what their game is (sucking people in with credit on their accounts) and they're not getting away with it, I urge everyone to get onto the ASA about this.

I saw that too, I thought that was very bad and have made a complaint via the ASA regarding that.

I saw that too, I thought that was very bad as they displayed the phone number before giving the final price after the countdown. I've made a complaint via the ASA regarding that.

They surely can't get away with doing that. I think the presenter felt awkward as started saying about him being new there & wasn't sure how things worked.

It would be easy to think they're doing it to get people with credit on their account to order but then change the price at the last minute so the credit cannot be used. Maybe that isn't their intent (I genuinely hope it isn't) so it's best they answer the question. But it does seem to me they have well overplayed the actual value of these 'credits', in my opinion.

On another matter it was interesting that Ben sold a Moissanite Ring for £1 as his last item but was very, very clear about the quantity before the phonelines opened.

sold literally nothing for days and to be honest i thought he would be gone

over time he started to adapt the style of some other presenters and his sales increased

sad as it is unless the presenter has a good history big fan base (like andy, sally and possibly james now) playing it straight so to speak will not bring in the figures.

I have no doubt at all he was told to change or be shipped out

He has now had his first shift on bid and seemed to do fine sales wise

I agree with all of that NTB. Sadly I felt it was only a matter of time before he had to join in with the shenanigans and indeed he has.

It's disappointing but par for the course.
