I've just received an invitation to QVC's Fashion and Jewellery Catwalk show on 11th sept 2014.
I've rang to accept to just hope I'm lucky enough to get a ticket!!

Anyone else got the invite?

Probably a stupid question, but does the invite not mean that you're automatically getting a ticket then?

Seems a bit mean if not IMO.
Good luck if you're name is going in a lucky dip. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

So you've been invited, yet you may not get a ticket? So what have you been invited to? A draw for the opportunity to be a guest? You have to go down to London, yet you may not even get to go in? Is it a bit like Wimbledon, you enter a public ballot? Delusions pf grandeur, is a phrase which comes to mind.

they invite more than they have room for, so you phone to accept and its first come first serve so to speak... not everyone will want to go i expect, its quite a trek up to london

I wonder if they accept more than they have seats for so that all the seats will be full if someone drops out at the last minute? They could always put an extra seat in somewhere, I expect, if it didn't work out like that.

Has anyone been to more than one event ?

There are lots of people who get an invite to the Beauty Bash more than once. if you lookon the QVC FB page there are endless discussions about how unfair it is that some yet an invite year after year while others get nothng. I've been to a Beauty Bash and fashion show but only as a guest of someone with an invite.

A friend's sister has been invited to QVC Jewellery events a few times. Friend even asked if I wanted to go with her sister as a plus one. No, thanks. By the time pay for flights over to London etc not worth it. Anyway I would be more interested in going to Les Senteurs, Roja Dove in Harrods :mysmilie_13:

Is there a lot of sales pressure at these dos?

None at all. You can't buy anything on the day at the events. It's very informal and all the QVC staff are extremely friendly. Of course the ultimate aim is to get you to order products when you get home after trying out products and sampling the freebies. I have never bought any QVC fashion but the fashion show was brilliant too.
