We're all hyprocrites in our own way - my biggest hypocrisy is Christmas, being an atheist! But hey ho, life is short and precious, enjoy every last drop of it I say, even if it means being a hypocrite or turning a blind eye now and again
I know we call it Christmas but this end of year was originally celebrated as the Winter solstice and therefore Pagan. You don't have to believe in God to celebtrate that. St Nick was Turkish (I think) see Wikipedia link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas
This time of year and the presents given could be as a Thank you to those who have meant something in our lives over the past year and that's how I see it although I am becoming more stringent as the years go by and the kids get older. Or maybe just more selective.
