Delighted to see that the Homeworx by Harry Slatkin candles are back on QVC. Hope they have a TSV before Christmas
This is great news, thanks for pointing it out! I was only thinking this week (when I was lighting one of his candles) whether he was selling anywhere in the UK - so pleased he's back on qvc 🙂

I’ve still got one of his candles, as yet unlit, because I bought a duo in clearance a while ago. While I liked the fragrance of the one I have now finished, it didn’t have as much throw as the Milkhouse Creamery ones that I’ve got. They fill the house with fragrance.

oh Kilkhouse new name for me?
Milkhouse Creamery candles used to be on QVC a few years ago. When it was clear that they were probably leaving QVC a lot of their stock went into clearance. I stocked up. I reckon I must have cleared them out of clearance. 😂

I loved their pure vanilla fragrances, as well as blends of vanilla and coffee. They really filled my house with fragrance. They were made of soy wax and came in jars that I’ve reused for things after the candle has finished and they didn’t soot like some brands do.

With Harry Slatkin candles could people who know please tell me if they keep their fragrance if unopened in a dark place (as they are soy not paraffin) and if it is true what they say about only having to burn for an hour as it scents the house for ages? Oh and is it also true that you don't need to trim the wicks at all? Thanks!

i have a stash of HS candles. But they are not soy candles. The vast majority are a paraffin wax mix. They keep thier fragrance for a few years as I bought a lot from QVC when they stopped selling the brand. Still smell nice with a good throw. But thats me some people will say they cant smell a candle and others can. You can try them and see.
Oh and all candles with a wick will need trimming in my experience.

I’m delighted to see them back on QVC. They are a fab candle and I have just ordered a couple of the new kits.
I know on QVC America last week they had a Homeworx Elton John TSV which looked beautiful. They even filmed it from Elton’s house heee in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 so I hope we get that list too. They looked huge. Fingers crossed.

i id highly doubt we'd get the big ones they had as they will be in clearence the week after at better than half price if its like usual with his candles TBH we'd be lucky to get the smaller ones

Ii bought some in clearance too, looking forward to buying much more. I had a look on Amazon last night they have loads. Also what do we all do with those lovely containers? Some I use as pot plant holders when small enough. They are too beautiful to just get rid of. I am so pleased that I bought two special ones last year which are for my friend this Christmas.

I bought some of those that were in the milk bottle shaped containers and they were lovely but they were a nightmare to light once they had burned down a bit. I had to buy some extra long matches and even then I burned myself more than once. 😂

I’ve never used matches to light candles. I always use an electronic oven lighter and have never had a problem. Even when the candle is almost finished the wick is easy to light.

It was more the fact the bottles were quite long and thin so I struggled to get my hand in, plus I don't think I had an electronic lighter back in those days. I'm not even sure I knew they even existed to be honest.

I vaguely remember those milk bottle candles. I'm sure I had some in little metal buckets that might have been the same brand - more years ago than I care to remember!
