I've never heard of this brand before, anyone own any of their suitcases?

Hmmmm, now might be a chance to chuck out my old carpy cases and get something new. But . . . . do I NEED them??

If I was a millionaire I would get bespoke luggage made to my design, in conjunction with an industrial designer, made out of carbon fibre and titanium, very light but incredibly strong.

And I would have 4 wheels with 2 of them with locking brakes, so that they didn't run away from you down slopes. You could then wheel it like a 2 or 4 wheeler, the best of both types of case. PS I had a 4 wheeler once, never again unless it has brakes.

All I have to do now is to win the lottery, then I will be off to the McClaren Formula One racing team factory to get them made.

I don't like that they sell these in a set of three, all being different sizes. Me & the OH have one each when we go away, which are both the same size.

And you can just pop the 'spares' in your 'pressies drawer' for those unexpected gifting needs - end of term teacher presents etc. ... :mysmilie_11:

But make sure you get the same colour, otherwise no p&p saving, one of the many Q quirks

That's kindly put, I must say! One of the many ways QVC lines their pockets would be closer to the mark.

I know it's going round and round the same exhausted subject, but when will QVC step into the modern age and cap postage for a basket of goods???

That was so funny. I was literally laughing out loud. I've just tried to retell this thread to my OH but couldn't I was laughing so much.

After a manic and crappy day at work, this has cheered me up no end. Thank-you.

Which reviews to believe? I searched for Heys and found some good ones, and a lot of bad ones. As Amazon claims to have unbiased reviews I looked up their American site. 78% of reviews for one set of Heys suitcases were 1 star!

They do look identical to those Tripp ones maymorganlondon linked to at Debenhams, and she seems fairly positive about the quality of those. The Debenhams Tripp ones are also currently significantly reduced in price, so maybe a better bet?
Personally, I'm not a fan of either rigid luggage or four wheelers. I travel a lot and prefer a large duffel with recessed wheels. My current one was purchased from Costco some years ago and has since been all over the world.

I have a Tripp suitcase that I got in a sale and I have been using it for 8 years now. It looks as good as new, a little wear and tear to the wheels through age but virtually unnoticeable. Nothing has scuffed on it. Couldn't recommend the brand more highly. Plus it has a crazy retro flower pattern on it so it's easy to notice, and no-one will blend into the background with it if they steal it!

I am so happy to read what you wrote. A few months ago I had to throw out all my two wheelers and buy four wheeled cases after a knee replacement operation. Fell for the beautiful Tripp floral ones and before I knew what I had done ( I blame the morphine based painkillers,), I had bought six cases in various prints.

Now every know-it-all tells me that they are made of plastic and will crack and the wheels fall off, and be unuseable, and unpushable by a person with knackered knees.

The Heys ones looked identical to one design of Tripp's, but were bendy when jumped on. I had wondered about buying them (Quick, Nurse, more morphine, this shoppaholic needs an excuse), in case the rigid plastic floral Tripp ones broke.

But thinking about it later, if you have breakable things in your suitcase, is it a good idea of have lids which bend right into the contents when some baggage handler jumps on them, in the style demonstrated on the show this morning?
