Help needed - Lost Will.

My dad and his partner have been together for over 20 years. Sadly she died last week. Dad told me that along with her eldest daughter I am executor to their Wills, which is fine. But, we have searched the house from top to bottom and can't find the Wills anywhere. Her birth certificate and passport are also missing. I know we can get a copy birth certificate, but don't know if there is anywhere centrally that stores Wills. Dad can't remember the name of the solicitors who drew them up either.

Has anybody got any advice as to what I do next? Dad is getting himself in such a state over this as well as grieving for her.

Sometimes banks store wills.

Solicitors do as well, you could approach all the local firms (or in the area where the will was made).

There is a "central storage" (can't remember what it's called) but storing them there is NOT compulsory.
