Are they really waterproof though? Or are they going to have water stains/mud stains/grass stains etc all over them after a couple of wears - especially the light colours.

For those of us (like me) that live in the sticks, trek through fields while walking dogs, there's mud, puddles, cow muck and all the rest and I've had dozens of pairs of these type of boots and they are ruined after a couple of walks. All these boot companies are making these types of footwear that look cool for Christmas market wandering, mulled wine in a city pub, carols in the village green type of events but they are no good for the real life scenarios. Please give us some industrial strength winter boots and I'm in. Wellies are my winter footwear but they are cold and your feet freeze.

Can you get fur-lined wellies, CC? If not, why not?!

they do have a metal stamp on the side that says waterproof, but I totally agree with you.

Don't know but I shall find out!

The last time I complained about boots leaking water in and getting water stained I was told they were "fashion boots". Oh, so not meant for wearing outside in winter then, even though they cost £100

Edit: The fashion boots weren't bought from QVC.

Yes, Reiker etc are all not really meant to be worn in wet weather. I was told that years ago.

I do own a pair of Skechers waterproof ankle boots, fur lined. Bought them for half price in their sale at the beginning of the year. We have a shop so able to try on and ask if they were regular fit before I bought.

I bought some Emu waterproof skeepskin-lined boots years ago. They took a bit of wearing-in but they're grippy, warm and comfy and I still wear them. I think they were a TSV because the prices are much higher now but I'd buy a pair again if I needed.
