They'd best not. They are a protected species in the UK.

If you hadn't said where you lived I'd have thought you're my neighbour. We have a very smug looking sparrow hawk as he's so well fed!

We also have a peregrine falcon who visits occasionally. He's so fast and agile. And deadly.

We're a bit p*ssed off as the woodland directly behind us has an application for planning permission for 100's of houses. They haven't sold the first 150 yet as we're rural and don't have services or transport links here. They're supposed to leave the old oaks along the old hedges but they had oops moments with the first phase and knocked three over. They got fined but haven't re-planted. The big builders don't care as they're trying to sell for obscene prices - over £100k above local older houses.

It'll be curtains for our RK as she swoops down into our garden but won't have the lift to clear the new houses. But at least we've helped her with her broods for the last few years. She brings the chick to the oaks behind us to feed it. It makes quite a racket until dinner is delivered!
Our woods have a Prehistoric site in it but that wouldn't stop our council.
The estate we live on and the wood used to belong to the Duke of Norfolk and certain things were covered by a covenance.
Since the council took it over everything's changed and not for the better.
No cars were to be parked on the roads as they all had drives,no fences it was to be open plan,no businesses to be run.
Now we have cars parked everywhere, some houses have 6 cars, and when they park selfishly people can't get on and off the drives as the roads aren't wide enough. Massive extensions and electronic gates and big walls plus all front gardens paved over.
With every house sold extended massively it's like living on a building site.

Don't you find that neighbours can be so uncaring and selfish now? As long as their multiple cars are parked who cares about anyone else? We moved to the sticks some years ago and we're so lucky that on the stretch of 6 cottages where we live our neighbours are wonderful. No one blocks anyone's parking or at least asks first.

One day there was a funeral in the church and someone parked their monster car not only outside my front door but so near to the door I could barely get in and out my house never mind park my car! It was there from 11am one day to 10am the next. Never saw who's it was, they must have sneaked up when we went to work and drove off. Tosser.

This is so true as long as they park they don't care, people's drives, grass verges, doctors surgeries, pub car park you name it they'll use it.

I hate it when people park on the pavement and you can't get past and have to walk in the road. Not just me and the dog but people with prams and with young children

Especially if they don't fold their wing mirrors in, which makes it even more difficult to squeeze through without knocking/damaging them. Oops.....
